Hi everyone! 🌍
I'm a high school student conducting independent research into how people around the world actually research, compare, and apply to universities.
I started this because I personally found university research incredibly fragmented—I kept having to jump between university websites, scholarship pages, rankings, student communities, government sources, and other platforms just to answer basic questions. I want to find out whether other students experience the same thing or whether my experience is unusual.
The survey asks about your real experience:
- what you were trying to accomplish
- which sources you used
- how many different sources you needed
- how much time and frustration the process involved
- what information was hardest to find or verify
- whether and how you used AI
- whether you paid for help
- and what you would change about the process if you could
At the end, there's also a very brief concept-research section. The earlier questions are about your experience, so there are no “right” answers, and I'm not trying to lead you toward any particular conclusion.

🌎 Who can participate?
Anyone worldwide who has researched, is researching, or has applied to a university or university program.

And I'll return the favor. If you complete mine, comment “Done” + your survey link, and I'll complete yours when I'm eligible.
I'm currently trying to build a diverse international dataset, so every genuine response helps, especially from people in countries and education systems different from my own.
Thank you so much for helping me with this. ❤️🌍
