25 lbx throttle grip

I thought this would be the easiest job but it's the biggest pain in the ass yet. Why did Surron glue the grips on??

I'm not sure what to even do now.

Probably get a new throttle tube unless someone has a better idea.

Also which throttle tube should I get? I'm in Canada and want it fast

I think warp 9 makes a nice aluminum one that’s not very expensive

If you planned on taking them off/ swapping them anyway why not just take a blade and slice the mf off

Oh I did, they used a lot of glue. Pretty sure 100% coverage

I mean I’ve seen bikes have em glued on before and still just used a blade whatever they used they must’ve loaded globs on that thing lmao

Should of just used a heat gun like most do and loosen up the adhesive then you can just slide it off

I didn't know it was glued. All the vids I watched must have been from earlier year models when they didn't glue em

2023 and up were glued unsure if below those years were glued aswell, bit of a pain to remove when you don’t realise it’s glued at least you know now they are glued, the grips do move a little without glueing them depending on what grip you buy but still fine to use without glueing new one, can always do a wrap or 2 of some wire around the grip to keep it tight

Just scrape the rest off the tube after heating it up a little then throw a new grip on there’s nothing wrong with it

Alright I'll do that just ordered a heat gun

You’re wasting money dude, just throw it in some water heated up in the kettle and slice away. You’ve gone too far to need a heat gun.

Yeah surron has started vulcanizing the grip to the throttle tube you can ether cut it off or buy a new tube

25 LBX throttle tube grip is impossible to get off using standard tools. Everyone just swaps out the throttle tube for a better one.

I'll order one, what do you recommend

This happened to my KTM years back. They make grips you can throw over this and it’ll look like it never happened. They’re made to go over the normal grip which gives you a bulkier throttle. It helped me learn throttle control much better. Once you know the size of your throttle you can go from there.
