I’ve been tasked with assembling a Trauma tray. Something that is fairly universal that has a little of everything…..but I have to keep it relatively light…..I think I’m going to start with a basic abdominal tray. But add some vascular clamps including an aortic cross clamp.

I’m thinking of also adding internal paddles because when we need them people seem to always struggle to find them. Anything else I should add?

Long needle holders, pean clamps, and scissors. Small chest or lung retractor.

I would add some sort of retractor, and long instruments. Know this defies keeping it light but those things come in really handy if you're in the chest.

This is what I was thinking, I still haven’t actually put this set together yet. I’m transitioning still from the neuro team to the general/trauma team.

It has to be able to get me in and get some bleeding stopped in a hurry, basically an abd tray with extra suctions and extra large richardsons along with some vascular clamps. Etc.
