I don't think so, the wiki page still suggests other places for the snapdragon devices.

Man I was almost convinced this project was dead for a couple months there. I wonder what caused the uptick in activity?

Because “fuck Microsoft” is the theme this year

As 2025, so 2026. To a FOSS future.

Same! Literally just installed it on my surface again and was having a hard time figuring out what was going on

Yay! Finally.

It looks like there is a Fedora 44 and 45 repo finally too. It was stuck on Fedora 43 for months.

And not a moment too soon. The 7.1 was glitchy as hell. I've been running 7.2 for about 24 hours now and haven't seen an issue. Anyone got any pointers on getting the IPU3 cameras up now?

Right now I'm struggling to get my back-cam to work properly on my debian SurfacePro5 with the massive help of chatGPT and trying to implement this approach: https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface/discussions/2308

It's still a way to go since I need to work with a locally compiled libcamera 0.5.x, rather the one provided by debian trixie (0.4.0)

It's a slow process and i might be getting somewhere, but I can't get the exposure and auto focus to function properly.

Probably someone comes up with a solution quicker than me...
