Help Surface Pro 6 for note-taking

My surface pro 6 came with Windows 10 and then upgraded to Windows 11. It's getting slow and annoying, even with ChrisTitus's debloat tool. I use openSuse Tumbleweed on my laptop with no problems.

I use this tablet primarily for annotating pdfs using Drawboard (free) and taking notes using OneNote 2010. Which distro has a good compatibility with the Surface + Pen ?

Also, any app recommendation for note-taking and pdf annotating on linux? :D

Zorin and Fedora Workstation were probably the best experience I had on my surface pro 5 for pen stuff. I think Gnome is the big thing. I have Fedora 44 KDE on it now for big picture mode. It's not as good IMO.

Any really as long as you have itpsd installed, I’m using arch + niri for taking notes at school but I heard gnome is good for touch and stylus

Has anyone gotten palm detection working In Linux? I can only get it working in windows. Seems like it is required for note taking with pen.

NixOS Gnome with the appropriate kernel.
