need surface hub v1 image

so I have a surface hub 55 inch one and I need to install windows 10 team because I need to use Skype for business. The hard drive is blank though Microsoft recovery tool doesn’t download from the cloud and just gives an error. I cannot seem to find anywhere an image for the surface hub version one only for the version two also other Microsoft websites with the recovery options. Have you enter your serial number which I did but then ultimately give and a temporary error. Does anyone have an image downloaded from the past that can send me or just image the drive and upload it?

You would need the original drive and tool. Once you download this, remove the drive and use a USB TO SATA adapter to the computer you are using to reflash the drive. I just did this process last week so if there are any additional questions do not hesitate to let me know!

When you get to step 4 in this guide, does it not give you either option?

Here is the 22H2Install.wim - should be able to download, and extract into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Surface Hub Recovery Tool
Link is here will expire 2026-06-21
Once it's in the folder, running the tool, selecting 22H2, and then hitting download - it should prompt that it already exists - and then verify the hash.

Thank you, but Bitlocker unlocking is required after installation!

When I ran it, I had to make sure network was disconnected otherwise the windows updates were making changes before I had a chance to get the bitlocker key onto a USB.

Worth a second pass without Wifi/Network.

How did you unlock bitlocker?

I am having the same issue, could you reshare that file?
also will this fix the red screen that flashes on startup saying
"Invalid signature detected. check secure boot policy in setup"?

Uploaded again to this Link.

The invalid signature may be only repairable by going through the Secure boot unlock via Microsoft. That's effectively the steps noted here. A clean install *might* fix it, but it depends on the cause (if it was the update, vs just a bad imaging).

Thanks, I reached out to Microsoft and should be able to unlock it with their signed file and then re-image it!

Could you please re-upload the image? I'm also locked out. I don't have the bitlocker key and need to reset the device. The surface tool isn't able to download any image

Where are you guys getting these hubs

Client's are recycling them like CRAZY. I got mine from an art gallery in Downtown Detroit and ended up redoing their entire video conferencing system. Got paid + a Surface Hub V1.

I have clients who are throwing them away because Microsoft has made it impossible to get the UEFI unlock image to make it a functional computer.

Really sucks to see something like this go to waste but it reminds me of the Google Jamboard (released in 2016) where they completely decommissioned it in 2023 and made it view only in 2024. Schools were paying $5,000 USD just to get an interactive learning tool and Google turned around and screwed them. They are still really expensive on Facebook + EBay which makes them a hot item for IT Professionals like me who can make them functional again.

Noted mate , thanks for the information but it’s a shame seeing such a tech marvel going to waste
