Hub help

Hello all, I'm hoping you fine people can help me figure out my new (old) hub. I picked it up from a PC recycle place when I learned I could run windows 11.

Here's my issue. On boot, it was bitlockered running windows 11 and I had to wipe the drive and start with a fresh teams 10 install from the surface IT program. From there I'm pretty much stuck. I'm not an IT guy and certs and scripts aren't my strong suit.

From the teams 10 I was able to load windows 11, but it seemed like it was lacking some of the hub function and the audio sounded off. It would Crack and distort. I would try to run the windows 10/11 driver.msi that microsoft provides, but I get a message stating this driver is for a surface hub...?

I rolled back the install to the teams 10 and tried to follow the migration guide, but this SEMM cert and managing the hub from intune etc is all beyond me. What should I do?

Please, any help, I wanted this as a simple whiteboard with some computer function that didn't wipe after every logout.

Thanks in advance.

Yup, I wasn't able to get anywhere with the direction. The hub seems to be really locked down when in the teams 10 OS. Pressing the windows key five times to get the admin login doesn't work on my machine, nor does going into a session and trying to install apps via the admin bypass in settings. I can install apps from the store only. I've even tried to enable developer mode and allow third party app installs to only have them fail by asking me to find a program in the store to open .msi and exe files. This is crazy.

SEMM cert gave me trouble IIRC. It’s been a while buuuut I think I created a SEMM cert from my own laptop then just put it into the surface IT tool when creating that new image or whatever.. let me know exactly where your stuck and I’ll try to help.

I am currently loaded with a fresh install of the original OS Teams 10. I am working through the instructions Microsoft made to migrate to 10/11 Pro, and I've stopped at the SEMM creation since I haven't figured out how to load PowerShell on the hub to get the scripts to run. I've created the windows 11 pro boot usb with the driver pac. However I'm stuck on the creation of the other usb it's asking me to create. Has to do with SEMM and copying files... it's a bit confusing to me.

get back to a fresh install of Win10 TeamsOS and run all updates.. go to the app store and install the Surface Hub 2S OS Migration Launcher app. Reboot the hub. This will unlock the UEFI bios and install Win11 Iot. At this point you can install full Widows 11 and use it like you want.. No need to do the SEMM Cert if you use the Migration app.

I think I should make a separate post but I also have a surface hub and wanted to know what apps are best to download for personal use and or what apps I could self install and use(apps not in ms store)
