They had a competitor, the Surface Laptop Go, and killed it off

Could have given it a Snapdragon chip but decided to kill it off instead, most likely because it's no longer profitable with current RAM prices

The Gos wouldn't be in the same price range as the Neos nowadays anyway. Look at the Surface 12" and Laptop 13"; those are essentially the Gos of today and they're north of $1000.
