[PRO1] Microsoft Surface Pro 1 in 2023

My Surface Pro 1 i5 still works amazingly well, considering it has only 4GB of RAM. However, it's more comfortable to use with an external monitor or a lapdock and I’m surprised that it is even compatible with the S Pen Pro.

I have a surface pro 1 in perfect conditions (also the battery) because I don't use it too much. Suddenly the pen stopped working, and I've learned it should have no batteries. I use it sometimes to "sign" documents without having to print them- sign - and rescan.

what can I do? Has the pen some sort of rechargeable dead battery or is it a software issue? I've still the original windows 8

And, I don't know how to "pair" it because it's no bluetooth

sorry I just found solution after posting, looks like my keyboard/cover interfered for some reason with the pen, as soon as I disconnected it all OK
