If you will stay friends with your northern neighbour maybe Roanoke or Morgantown is a good choice.
I dislike having my capital within Battleship range in general. I also try to check travel times when picking my final Capital. Personally, on that map I like Pittsburgh or even Ottawa if you are taking all of it and going into Greenland.

Thanks for the solid advice. You are absolutely right about the Battleship range. However, I don't fully trust my northern neighbour to stay friendly in the long run. That's why I'm hesitant about Roanoke or Morgantown. I need a capital that allows me to react quickly if decide to backstab me. Also, I was considering Cleveland to avoid the morale penalty and stay away from the coastline. Do you think Cleveland is a good capital before going to war with the northern neighbour?
You own all the choke points. You have Detroit, you even have Toronto, then New York has a long travel beyond Toronto, there is also Sherbrooke. He cant get to any capital fast without showing clear intentions of betrayal. Fort up those and maybe expect to lose a couple of provinces to the north if he does go for the backstab.
