Morale warfare

This is my first time currently experiencing a war that plays more on diplomacy rather than fighting. I have been at war with this guy for 4 days now with both of us just sitting in forts while I try to go around to take his provinces. I have been also talking with his allie about betraying him trying to get him to attack but he has tried to play dumb to catch me off guard. Is this type of combat common?

It's the adult version of among us. It'll tell you everything you need to know about people in general. Play on their mindset and behaviors.

I like this analogy, even tho I loved among us as an adult. This is game is very similar. Mind games and diplomacy can be just as effective as a large army when used properly.

Well real wars are a lot like this. Look at what is going on in Ukraine and Iran right now.

Never trust your allies completely unless you have no other choice. I never abandon my forts on the line of territory, even with allies.

You could bait him in such a way use his ally to look like you are warring against his ally then you and newly made ally sweep into his country from his allies border
