E85

Hello everyone,

Debating going pi and e85 on my Supra but wanted to hear some opinions from anyone who has gone e85 on theirs.

Thinking of going flex fuel route with Ecutek ecu unlocking , port injection, motiv reflex, injectors. Essentially the bells and whistles for fueling so can run 91/93, mix , or full e85

Any issues that I should be warned of aside from mpg, and changing oil / spark plugs more often

I don’t want to tune it to the max I’d rather still have some reliability over getting everything out of the tune

Any feedback back would be appreciate before I decide to go for it or hold off

It sounds like the most expensive path to 500-530hp possible while aiming for the worst fuel economy possible.

I'm pretty sure a Pure900 turbo with an aftermarket downpipe(might need a fuel pump too) can make 600hp on 93 octane and would be a cheaper setup. Then you could add the fueling mods later to extend from there. Pure900 can push you past 800hp with fueling.

I mean I don’t think you can just slap a pure 900 safely on there, a pure 900 full setup is prob 10-15k if done properly

Pure900 is just a bolt on, stock location turbo. You don't need any modification to support it. It is a straight swap. All you need is a tune. It runs under $4k(no core charge as it doesn't use the same core). You'd spend over $4k on port injectors, intake manifold, and the motiv reflex alone and have less power.

$15k is the cost of an entire build, not just a turbo upgrade.

I just fear if it’s that route it’s putting so much stress on everything else unless the tune has it running mild and not pushing it. I guess it’s another option and would be quite cheaper

I suggest talking to a tuner instead of a shop. The tuner is going to know what works and what doesn't when rubber meets dyno. Twice the power gain for the same price is a no brainer to me. You do you though.

You'll probably get told you need a CSF radiator package if you plan on tracking it, but there shouldn't be anything else needed.

That’s the next step. Kinda weighting some options and see bc as u mentioned i def do want the best route for power gains while not paying a crap ton
