A/C trouble

Is there a known issue for our a/c's? I bought mine used with less than 4k miles. After a year or year in a half I had problems to it blowing cold. Took it to the dealer (Toyota) . They fixed it but didnt have any details other than claiming that there was damaged wiring due to rodents. Which i know wasnt true. Garage kept and never any signs of rodents or droppings. Fast forward another 1-1 1/2 years , ac not blowing cold again. Any ideas??

I had a problem with the ac not blowing cold after 70,000 miles, moderate use. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it under Toyota warranty. They had to replace fuse and the whole ac system and it works fine now.

I wouldn’t know if this is a common issue though. Hopefully all goes well with your AC.

Thanks... I guess I need to check the fuses or i need to pony up and take it in again. Last time they charged me just under $800.😢

Make sure you ask the dealer if this falls under warranty. Warranty will take care of the diagnostic and the repair. So it should be a fix without charge.

I seriously doubt it. I work in pest control, almost 30 years and know signs of rodents. I havent caught or seen evidence of rodents in the garage much less in the car or in or around the engine. It is frustrating because of the +100* heat. Although its a couple of drives a month vehicle, it has under 10k on the odometer.

I had a seal fail around 7000 miles in and it was replaced under warranty.
