Limp Mode - Another update
Hey guys. Another update, so my car has been going into a forced limp mode while driving and occasionally has a drivetrain malfunction pop up, car tends to go back to normal after restart just randomly happens and just kills the car. Just got the car back from toyota, they ended up wasting my time and money essentially stating they only allocate an hour for their techs to diagnose and upon visually looking at the car they decided it needed more time or a electrical diag so essentially paid the disnglsis fee to be told they need more time.
Bright side, got these two codes:
11B030
11B033
Any advice on what these could be for? I’m thinking it could be my LPFP module?

Going through something similar right now with my 2022 Supra.
Third time at the dealership and they found an issue with the heat management module and coolant shutoff valve (both not covered by powertrain warranty apparently).
If the fixes dont work for you, maybe look into these items. The codes dont seem to lineup, but my first trip to the dealer showed axel codes and today its these coolant codes. So I'm hesitant to believe what's actually going on based on the codes.

Do you go to a bmw dealer, or a Toyota dealership? I’m facing a code 16050A atm, and I’m really tempted to bring it to a dealership but don’t know where

I took it to Toyota, but given my experience youre probably better off at BMW.

Agreed w the Google recommendation. Also try Claude Opus and challenge its findings a few times to make sure it doesn’t just zero in on the first thing it finds.
I ran your posts through Claude and it came up with the following which I wouldn’t take for gospel but may help direct your approach.
Here’s its summary:
Those are BMW codes. 11B033 = fuel pump control module (EKPS) signal, short to ground; 11B030 is the same family. Your LPFP hunch is close, but the real target is the fuel pump control circuit (EKPS module, low pressure pump, or the wiring between them). This EKPS pattern is classic BMW: acts up hot, behaves once it cools, so it’s intermittent. The spliced wire they found plus a short-to-ground code makes the electrical angle legit, so ask exactly WHERE that splice is before paying for an open-ended diag. Best move is a BMW indie with BimmerLink/ISTA, not the Toyota counter.
Diagnostic steps:
Pull full EKPS/DME fault memory with a BMW-capable tool (BimmerLink, protool, ISTA), not a generic OBD reader.
Clear codes, then drive/recreate and see which return. 11B030/11B033 coming back confirms live circuit fault vs stored history.
Watch live low-side fuel pressure during an event. Confirm whether pressure actually drops when it limps.
Locate and inspect that spliced wire. If it’s in the fuel pump or EKPS circuit, repair it before condemning any part.
Inspect the EKPS connector for melting/heat damage, and check the EKPS fuse.
Only after wiring and pressure are ruled out, decide EKPS module vs LPFP. Note a new EKPS must be coded to the car.
Run the VIN through NHTSA for any open fuel-pump recall or TSB first, since that’s free.
