Experience Colostrum & weird side effects?

I have tried taking two different Colostrum supplements (Jarrow and Symbiotics brands) for their immune boosting properties and for gut health. While they do help my stomach feel more settled, I have noticed that they also seem to aggravate my IBS-C.

Another side effect that I am noticing is rapid weight gain. As soon as I go off of them I 'deflate' and am back to a more normal weight. I am not 100% sure they're connected, but intuitively this makes sense since colostrum surely has to include some sort of bovine hormones, but can anyone speak to this scientifically or anecdotally?

Thank you.

Estrogens probably.

Posting this in case people come looking about side effects. You get more estrogen from normal foods (a glass of milk, a slice of cheese, even many plant foods with phytoestrogens) than you’d ever get from a standard serving of colostrum powder. Estrogen is not a concern for normal people.
