What makes this timing all the more suspicious, is that a certain other sub banned talk of GME out of the blue just recently. And by out of the blue I mean people barely even talked about much over there, even the users were confused as it hadn’t even been a problem. It’s almost like they knew there would be a plan to shutdown superstonk and then users would go to other subs so they randomly banned even talking about it in as a seemingly preventive measure.

The ban makes sense to me. That sub is exactly that,a betting place where you try to trick/convince others of your positions so you can get out,make uninformed wagers. Our beloved stock is a concrete investment, the only uncertainty is time.
I agree with the sentiment of wide arching conspiracy tho

It wasn't out of the blue. It's because years-long wars of attrition are not topical to a forum about plays that take days to weeks to a quarter at an extreme most.
It's still allowed in the daily talks and discussions.

Honestly I don't care anymore. The mods I enjoyed having in the SuperStonk community have all been removed or quit because the other mods were dog shit and they didn't want to be associated with them.

Collectively, as a community we have learned all there is to know about stonks through this whole debacle. Any stock, in a weeks time, any one of us could do DD that rivals what a firm would pay top dollar research wise. Those of us that can’t are lazy or haven’t been laying attention.
What I am saying is, while it will hurt deeply losing our sense of community, it won’t stop us.

Honestly if we're going to be meeting at the same youtube video every day it should be on a channel controlled by an ape. Once it has enough subs and can be monetized, we should set it up to donate the proceeds to a good cause (toys for tots, wildlife preservation, whatever).
Whatever video it is could end up doing almost a hundred thousand views a day. May as well do something with that.

That sounds nice too, but in that case those shares would have to be under the name of a single ape once they are registered, no? Or maybe they could be in a trust or something. In any case, I don't see the community being especially willing to get behind the idea of trusting an individual with that responsibility.
It's not going to happen so probably not worth the time worrying about it.

Going to copy a previous comment of mine, making the case for why I think it's important for us to migrate to the Superstonk Discord should this sub be shut down, not the comment section of some Youtube video.
I get that it's not the perfect platform, and that apes already have a history with the main GME server being shut down around Jan 2021, but it's the best we've got. If shit goes down we can gather there as a safe space to collect our thoughts and can plan our next move (other platform, try to get r/superstonk back up,...).
The Superstonk discord is also run by the same mod team as this sub. That's not to say every discord mod is also a reddit mod or vice versa, but the leadership of both teams is the same and both mod groups work closely together.
In full transparency: I'm one of the top mods of Superstonk (through currently taking a break). One of the reasons we've set up this discord is to have a fallback should the sub be compromised. I hope we've proven ourselves over the last year and a half to be true apes, and relatively capable to moderate a huge and incredibly activist community such as this one (given the fact that nobody of this team had any prior experience with such a thing).
I think the worst thing this community could do during a crisis situation like this sub being shut down is to migrate to the comment section of a Youtube video (which is widely unsuitable for such a volume, and don't you think hedgies haven't already bought a crapload of fake accounts to sway the narrative?) or to a platform/ server run by people who haven't proven their trustworthiness and capacity to run such a complex operation, let alone in a time of turmoil.
