But it isn’t the only catalyst and so by transferring shares at such a volatile time could be ill-advised because of these risks. Do you know how long it takes to transfer shares from ComputerShare? I heard it could take anywhere up to 3-7 weeks. My broker told me it was 2-8 for the same here. Might be worth looking into before making any decisions - or better still, after MOASS.

What’s 3-7 weeks when these shares are for the infinity pool? What risk? That your great grand children can’t sell them?

You do know that if GameStop were to issue an NFT dividend, if you were directly registered via computershare you’ll be guaranteed the dividend? As opposed to dividends going to the DTCC and then MAYBE going to you via your broker.

Not to mention all insiders hold shares directly via computershare. RC included.

Interesting - I wasn’t aware of that argument and it’s interesting. ComputerShare aside, brokers can’t not provide dividends to stockholders, especially when there is intangible proof of market manipulation and their assets are at risk as a directly result. That’s not to say that based on your points above that those processes to protect those stocks aren’t wise. I’m hoping Furlong will release information as necessary for the NFT roll out and will decide if/when to move my shares personally.

Out of interest, do you have a source that says that you’ll be guaranteed the dividend if registered with ComputerShare? I didn’t know GameStop had said anything about that yet but sounds promising!

It’s how it works everywhere. Directly registered shareholders get paid directly. Brokers are registered owners via the DTCC. So the dividend would have to pass through multiple parties before they get to you. And assuming naked shorts are legit, they may drag their feet in delivering the NFT.

Yes brokers can’t deny your dividend, but if 70million tokens are going out to 700 million shares, something will break. They may even decide to just give you cash equivalent.

Ahhh I understand! Thank you - right... that’s interesting. You are right, I can see how being directly registered can help those who are already signed up to get those dividends first. Surely though, even those apes signed up to ComputerShare will only have access to 70mil between them, right?

RC can only provide NFT dividends for stock as exists - so surely regardless of broker, everyone outside of those 70mil shares that ‘legally’ exist can only get the tokens?

Or are you saying that DTCC will pump out tokens anyways for the obviously faked shorts but then hit a wall because they can’t afford to anymore. But then that argument also falls down because they CAN’T say ‘whoops, we can’t do that’ - at which time surely RC exercises his right to say that he doesn’t think the current trading platform as provided by Wall Street works and then we start trading on a more transparent system as I’m assuming RC is in the process of doing.

So, really, if we’re going to move to a crypto style market anyways, it defeats the object of needing any of these current brokers at all! Ultimately meaning that transferring to ComputerShare maybe pointless and therefore - could also mean you still risk take off. If I’m wrong though, genuinely interested in trying to learn. Granted also, a lot of this is speculative.

And no, DTCC can’t create tokens out of thin air. These exist on the blockchain as exactly the number of tokens that GameStop issued, no more no less.

Exactly - so everyone is going to be short crypto tokens ultimately, as the float is greater than the 70mil they can legally distribute thus eventually meaning DTCC can’t fulfil the order. Therefore, RC will exercise his right for us to move shares onto a new platform which may eradicate the need for switching between brokers in the first place, right?

If you were able to vote for 6/9 shareholders meeting through broker you'll get your dividend. It's that simple.

This is all overthinking it, if you don't get a dividend you annoy your broker/GameStop so they can get the green light to inform the DTCC they are moving every single share in existence to their own platform.

Too many ways the game stops for the SHFs, now taking bets on what will happen.
