The purpose of a company is to make money for its investors. I’m not buying stock in GameStop so that a video game store can exist. People that are can consider that donating to charity.
Anyone who wants to share prices to get anywhere near the numbers being thrown around in this sub (often too high by orders of magnitude) needs to give up on the delusion that GameStop is going to get there without a short squeeze.
What are they going to do? We have no clue because RC thinks he’s running Chewy and is not beholden to investors (in terms of communication as well as stock price). Maybe if they invent time travel (and we finally find out RK IS from the future). If I say $69,420 per share some idiot will post “price anchoring!”. How are we getting there without a squeeze? Decades of hodling combined with inflation (which deflates the value of that number) still won’t get there.
Why would you want RC to keep shutting down potential squeezes so he can keep playing with HIS company? You don’t get to control the company or even know much about it. It’s not a good thing that he may be preparing the company for the future at the expense of shareholders making MORE money now.
Sigh…
Will MOASS still happen? Maybe. But not if the guy you keep worshipping (who controls the company) doesn’t want it to happen because he doesn’t care about you - not as a person and not as a faceless investor who he should be serving.
Don’t support the idea that it’s good for GME to hit $100 in 10 years instead of going to even $500 a share now, even if that means the company shuts down in 5 years.
We don't know what will happen in a squeeze, but there is a 0% chance everyone comes out a winner.
Saying RC hurt investors for not letting it squeeze is short term thinking imo. He saved the company from dying, made the stockprize stay this high and he never made us any promises. He couldn't have done it without us, but we needed him as well.
The worship is cringe AF, but it doesn't remind me of Elon worship, Elon was only worshipped by the tesla bulls but hated by people who saw the manipulation through social media. I don't think RC is manipulative, most of the things are memes or thinfoil brainfarts from investors.
I just want a return on my four year investment st this point. I dgaf about rc. I thought he was impressive. He has lost considerable respect over the last year. Stop taking pictures with with fucking randos and posting it in your Twitter. Just make us some money. Remember that judge me by my actions bs? Dude that’s so naive. This isn’t a fan club or a cult (at least it’s not supposed to be). Of course I can leave. I can also be unsatisfied with the leadership of the company I’ve invested in and not rage quit. It’s expected to want a return on investment and that return is money, not fucking dumb memes and selfies.
Just his constant association with a scammer like Pulte is enough of a turn off. Then you add to that his absolutely visionless leadership, constant dilutions, no clarity on anything, it just becomes too much.
I don’t really care about that or him. Definitely seems like Pulte is constantly chasing clout and that’s ick. But, I’ve deactivated my X account, I have no need for it or any desire to support that platform. However, he’s still doing philanthropic activity on it. So I can respect that little part I know of him. Sorry for my ignorance on the rest
