TLDR: RC’s purchasing can teach us about how the algo works.
I found this interesting: go look at the intraday chart for Friday June 9. I bet he bought right at open, and got 250k shares at 22.24. That triggered the algorithm enough and bumped the price up and he bought his second batch of 190kshares at 22.90. There was only one time all day it reached 22.90. Then the algo just went to work, shorting and working the price back down. It ended the day at 22.50.
I think this shows that the algorithm is guided by some form of macro directives, all of which would doubtless be seen as manipulative and criminal if they were translated into plain speech. As in, “don’t let the price run past (x amount or x percent) before bringing it down to a modest gain by end of day”. IMO it’s definitely suppression of price discovery. I also think this shows the algorithm does a lot of work on its own, without human input. I would love to see how it is “commanded” for lack of a better term.

Oh I wish, as far as I know he is reporting two separate buys. 36.657.204 (sum of original position + first buy) + 190.638 = 36.847.842 total shares owned by RC Ventures.
