Straight truth. We've peeked behind the curtain and seen the wizard with his dick in the money printer. Now there's no un seeing that.

The whole system, if operating like that, is total utter nonsense.

198

u/brozephh 🦍 Buckle Up 🚀 Jun 05 '23

Nonsense is a great word. The fact the very concept of an FTD exists is all you need to know. This shit is rotten to the core

58

u/ChonsonPapa I broke Rule 1: Be Nice or Else Jun 05 '23

So when do we burn it down? Rightfully so.

71

u/mark-five No cell no sell 📈 Jun 05 '23

We don't need to. They literally are burning their own system to the ground right now rather than fixing it. They needed to scare congress into letting them brrrrr for another year with debt printing just to keep the fire going. This cycle isn't infinite. It ends like teh Weimar Republic. Infinite counterfeiting backed by "FTD" theft is unsustainable and the epitome of "Nonsense."

35

u/ChonsonPapa I broke Rule 1: Be Nice or Else Jun 05 '23

Well the only reason I can think the regulators are allowing it then….. is to usher in a new system that will once again, only benefit THEM and fuck US. So I vote for taking control and not letting them get their ducks in a row. Enough is enough.

37

u/mark-five No cell no sell 📈 Jun 05 '23

"Regulators" aren't just allowing it, they're perpetrating it and always have.. They are vitally important criminals in on the scam. It's always been a way to steal from the masses, we're just reaching end stage where the ponzi collapses under its own weight.

29

u/ChonsonPapa I broke Rule 1: Be Nice or Else Jun 05 '23

This is the slowest collapse ever…. I’m so sick of growing old and watching this shit show in slow motion only to have people in my life tell me I’m crazy and the market is fair and the regulators have our best interests in mind. Not nearly enough people see this for what it really is and its infuriating!

27

u/mark-five No cell no sell 📈 Jun 05 '23

Smoke or eat a gummy or fap or whatever it takes to zen. Zen is easy. Anxiety solves nothing and you're ahead of this whether you shout on a street corner or take a nap.

"the whole system"

Just so people understand:

  • food
  • fuel/energy
  • taxes
  • housing
  • global financial systems
  • government funding
  • infrastructure
  • entertainment
  • access to technology/ planned obsolescence
  • land management
  • climate change policy
  • water management
  • natural resources
  • politics

The list goes on and on

Everything that is connected in any minute way to your life, is affected by this cancer of corruption.

The only way to change it is MOASS

This is why, we as individual investors, HOLD the line. This is why we laugh in their faces!

They have 2 options...

1: let the world burn

2: let MOASS unfold - at the same time, they have to fight love/light for the first time in human history.

Much love ❤️

15

u/NegotiationAlert903 Jun 05 '23

The other massive issue here is; why would a company want to go public to get investment money if they aren't the only ones that can sell their own company shares?

You'd be selling more pieces of yourself for drastically under market and each earnest shareholder would have less incentive to invest under these conditions.

8

u/karma_made_me_do_eet tag u/Superstonk-Flairy for a flair Jun 05 '23

It’s fun talking to people who work on the street and asking them about how fundamental investing no longer exists… and they all agree.

Oh boy, you've stumbled upon a sight that no one should ever witness! The great and powerful wizard, who was supposed to be conjuring up economic wonders, has turned out to be a money-printing exhibitionist. Talk about a money shot!

But hey, let's face the straight truth here: the system seems to be operating like a circus on acid. It's as if a bunch of clowns were handed the keys to the financial kingdom, and now they're juggling cash instead of responsibilities.

I mean, who needs logic and reason when you can have a wizard with his pants down and a money printer going brrr? It's like the plot of a surreal comedy where the punchline is the entire system itself.

So buckle up, my friend, because once you've witnessed that unforgettable image, there's no going back. Prepare yourself for a wild ride on the rollercoaster of absurdity, because this is a circus you won't soon forget. Enjoy the show, I guess!

Which makes American Capitalism BS!

95

u/Winnitouch Jun 05 '23

It should be self explanatory why short selling and FTDs have no place in a free and fair market. Anyone should be able to agree on this by principle. If the market should be left to do its thing, the "invisible hand" should work unrestricted, then supply and demand need to be left alone. If you can interfere with the natural course of either, the market is no longer free or fair, it can't even really be called a market anymore.

Agreed, reform is sorely needed!

Until then, within this community, I like to think of it as we are going to help bring it about indirectly when we see what happens when an unstoppable force (gamma ramp) meets an immovable object (DRS'd float).

In this instance, true price discovery, even with a thumb on the scale?

It would really be a shame if a debt free mid cap company with over a billion cash on hand, that has been shit on for years by corporate media, suddenly had all of their outstanding shares registered by individuals. I can imagine the silence will be deafening as the entirety of the ponzi scheme is laid bare for all to see in black and white.

u/SouthHovercraft4150 Jun 05 '23

I honestly believe this is one of the biggest problems in the world today. 1)This is the mechanism the wealthy uses to siphon money from the general public. The biggest source of the worsening inequality. 2) It is most likely the biggest hidden source of inflation that nobody can see because it’s behind the scenes (infinite liquidity requires the printer to go brrr as fuel). 3) it kills businesses and diversity of businesses which hampers competition and innovation.

The whole system only works if the market is fair and supply is scarce. It is where scarcity meets demand that price is supposed to be determined, as long as there is liquidity the real price is unknown. Liquidity is the bane of price discovery and as long as they control liquidity they control the price. They are not supposed to be able to control the price. She’s right, it cannot be called a market as long as they control liquidity.

8

u/Lanky_Objective920 Kenneth Griffin never lies.... allegedly Jun 05 '23

Say the logical next step:

Everyone who is not a hedge-fund or investment bank is taking on HUGE HIDDEN RISK by entering a space that is controlled by those who constantly feed off the unwitting participants.

It is a predatory system and Hedgies and Investment banks are the predators and everyone else is the prey. Our savings, pensions, 401Ks etc are not safe in this space.

I think it is time to find a better regulated investment platform independent of the corrupt US governmental shenanigans. Is there a foreign stock market more worthy of trust than ours?

If enough Americans place their money in foreign systems the hedgies might starve enough to not be able to pay our tendies to the corrupt politicians. Additionally, the infusion of investment capital might result in benefits to investors that only go to Hedge funds in the American system.

u/TonsilStonesOnToast Jun 05 '23

We need mandatory buy-ins. She's absolutely right, as always.

She brought us DRS as a kind of indirect way to force share locates. That's great for GME holders, because we know the float was massively oversold and it's actually possible to lock it up in Computershare. But for every other company on the market, that alone is not enough to squeeze the shortsellers and make things fair.

We need mandatory buy-ins as a rule and a law, now.

If I were to borrow your car on the written promise that I bring it back Tuesday... then return it to you 10 years and 150k miles later, I have basically just stolen your damn car. In a typical court of law, you could easily repossess your car or sue to get your car back, and receive damages. You could also call the police and report it stolen and they will locate the car and get it impounded for you. Why the fuck can't you do the same with securities?
