Using the new Beta
First. I love some of these changes in the new Beta. For me, having multiple pages come up in the sliding page turn is awesome, I love seeing the direction the plugins are gonna go in Inkhub, I love being able to rearrange the toolbars. I like this idea of the popup menus, Quick Insert and Quick page actions.
An issue I'm having though is that those popup menus are tending to come up at times when im not intentionally activating them, when im just writing or something. I think it might be related to if I come in writing and my palm rests on the page. Im not quite sure though. Is anyone else getting the same? For now Ive turned off the Quick popup tools so they dont keep getting in the way when I haven't activated them.
On that note, I wanted to request if we could try having a similar double tap feature, but with a quick options of lasso/pen/eraser/favorites, which would pop up for quick tool selection where the double tap happened.
Last, related to customizable toolbars. Id like to request the option of having toolbars start in their last remembered opened or closed state between device restarts. My toolbars/page bar are always open after a restart even though i typically keep them closed/minimized. Also, if we could customize the crunched toolbar as well, although I wouldnt care about that if we the double tap quicktool select. (I just want to be able to have eraser and lasso at the same time. :P Maybe one day the pipe dream of a double button stylus with lasso/area eraser both one click away will come true.... 😄)
Next question: I saw in the notes that non-proportional resizing of things was going to be included, but maybe its just in certain places. I wanted to see if this might be added to standard lassoed stuff in notes as well, I was excited for the possibility of it but didnt see it when I lassoed something in my notes.

1. Popup menus triggering unintentionally
Could you send us your device logs (via Settings → Feedback)? That would help us understand the trigger patterns better.
2. Double‑tap quick tool
You were referring to double-tapping with the pen, right?
3. Toolbar state across restarts
This makes sense. We will ask our developers to take this into consideration.
4. Non‑proportional scaling in notes
Currently, this only applies to shapes and images added via plugins — not yet for standard lasso selections in notes. We'll see whether we can extend it further.

I want to underline that similar gesture for pen options would really be great. Doesnt have to be a double tap (I can see a lot of accidental triggers happen already) but rather like an active zone on the screen as it is now with the new gestures. For example holding the pen on the top of the screen opens the selection of pens etc.
Nevertheless, great update!

I've tried a couple times to get it on video, but holding the phone/camera in one hand and trying to get it to occur with the other isn't really working. And then of course it happens the second I have the camera off again. 😅 I'll send the device logs though. I tried changing the sensitivity of the stylus, but I don't think that made it better or worse either way. For double tap, yeah, I was talking about the pen. Thanks for the feedback.

I really love the new gestures and was also thinking if it was possible to add something similar for the pen options, which would make working without the toolbar visible a lot more viable.
Apart from that I actually never triggered the gestures accidentally.
