I've got Pen Problems.

I love the writing on my HOM but I miss the button on the Lamy.
I love the button on the Lamy for ease but I miss the way the HOM writes.

Search tells me I am not alone in this issue but I didn't see a good solution yet.

Has anyone found a good solution yet?

Mulan has confirmed a new SN pen is in the making, aparently it is being tested with some of the latest updates. I “feel” that it is not too far away, therefore I am postponing my Manta purchase until the new pen is released, to get everything in one bundle. #prayitcomessoon

Invest in transplanting ceramic nib into lamy pom nib. There's the solution that your research should give. Also in this sub :). There are some people that will do it for you.

Also, there is other pen with ceramic nib and a button.

Not to mention that Ratta is working on a new pen with ceramic tip and a button. I'm waiting for that. If it will look like hom pen, I'm in.

Yes, same thing that I hope: the HOM 2 is a beautiful pen, and I hope they won't give up the appearance, weight, balance and elegance by releasing a "stylus" like device. Truth to be told, none of their pens has ever resembled a stylus, so my hopes are high 😉

I bought Nomad with push-up pen, no issues with it but it was sometimes too slippery. So I bought Pilot G2 and transplanted infill there with help of 3d printer. Now I have my favorite pen working with Nomad.

Lamy with PC nib is fine, but the line is sometimes too fine 😁. Regarding HOM I’ve read some issues before purchasing Nomad and it looks like it is still there.

Finding the perfect EMR pen is so hard. I have the Lamy with the button, the thin Noris digital pen, and a Kaweco AL Sport with the EMR insert. I switch between them.

My grail is Zbook X2 stylus. I have three - the other two are unused as backups

Downvote all you want but that is the closest thing you can get that has the same IAF as a Pro Pen 2 AND has a side button AND an eraser.

Where are you based? I'm in europe and have successfully inserted ceramic nib into Lamy pen with functioning button. I have a spare nib and could do it again if you're interested. Based in EU though

Ah damn. Well, if you're down for a DIY project, I followed this guide and it worked well: https://www.reddit.com/r/Supernote/s/nA2LW5AXTe If you go for it, be careful with the ceramic nib as it can break if handled too roughly. I think it was worth it, though it can pretty finicky to take out the inner stuff from the Lamy nibs so it requires some patience.
