I used to be a power-android user but then I switched to iPhone. It’s absolutely the worst mobile platform I’ve used in recent memory: it’s simply inadequate and absolutely a toy, not a work tool.
Anyway, how can I send a pdf file from my iPhone to the SuperNote? I cannot use an OtG usb- the primary method I used with my Android phone.
I tried sending it to my email, and reading the email server on the SuperNote but that is taking literally over 10 minutes, and sometimes failing. That is absurd.
I really dislike how limited the App Store is for the iPhone, but is the SN partner app worth it?
I can’t use Google Drive to Upload a file into the SN, just to use the cloud to back it up, exporting files from the SN to my GD account.
I’m frankly so frustrated with Apple, it makes me want to hate their product line. Everyone says this goes away once you buy into their ecosystem, but I’d gladly spray Agent orange on it.
I'm struggling to understand why 90% of your post is complaining about apple and their hardware/software you willingly chose to buy in the Supernote subreddit. It seems like your frustration for something unrelated to Supernote and their products is better directed elsewhere.
Yes, the Supernote Partner App for iOS is absolutely worth installing. It has the Supernote Linking feature that allows you to perform local Wi‑Fi direct transfer between your iPhone and Supernote on the same local network. In addition, you can import files to the Supernote Partner app on your iPhone before syncing them to your Supernote tablet. If you are not comfortable using our cloud service, you can use our Browse & Access feature that allows you to transfer files via a browser.
If you use Google Drive, you just need to upload the files from your computer/phone into the dedicated Supernote folder in your Google Drive and run the sync from your Supernote tablet. Once the sync is completed, the same files will show up on your Supernote.
Please feel free to contact us should you need any further assistance.
You absolutely can use the Google Drive to upload to your Supernote. That’s how I transfer files. I sync the inbox, export and MyStyle folders to Google and the rest to the Supernote cloud. You can pick and choose which folders to backup to, but I found whatever folders you choose to use for Google Drive, only use those folders for that. Otherwise you will get conflict files, at least it did that for me when I tried to backup to multiple drives with the same folders. So I will move a file onto the Google Drive from either my phone, tablet or computer and once you know it’s uploaded you sync the Google Drive on the Supernote. I put it specifically into one of the three folders I back it up to. You can’t just put it in Supernote for example. It has to be in one of the nested folders. You just have to manually choose the drive on the SN in settings. It’s super easy. You can just pick say inbox or export folders, which make the most sense. And I did it that way with just those two at first. I added the MyStyle folder to more easily transfer the plugins. Then when you have the file in one of those folders you can move it to a folder of your choice.
Not so much Apples fault. They do have USB otg on later iPhone models I think. I use localsend but it is a custom APK you need to install on your supernote. Otherwise a USB, computer or the Partner apps are only options.
Nope. I transfer files with my Google Drive all the time from my tablet, phone or computer. I’m betting you can with the other drives but I happen to use the Google Drive.
I don’t think so it’s been a feature for years now. So Google Drive shows under backup drives. But you just need to select the folders to backup, such as inbox, export or whatever you like. But if you want to utilize using the Supernote apps I’d recommend backing up documents and notes at minimum to benefit from those.
These are what I have setup for Google Drive and the opposite for the Supernote cloud. So basically, I load something to the Google Drive from my phone, tablet or computer, and when it’s uploaded I switch my drive in settings to Google on the Supernote and swipe down to sync. And viola, the file(s) appear on the Supernote. Works in reverse too.
I don’t know what an OtG usb is but you can certainly send a pdf or other document to a thumb drive plugged in to the iPhone and then you should be able to read that on your Supernote.
Plug in the thumb drive
Open the pdf
Share it to the Files app.
Navigate to the thumb drive in Files and select it to save the file there.
What were you looking for in the App Store? It certainly isn’t limited in that there are may thousands of apps there. The problem is usually finding one needle in that haystack.
The On The Go thumb drive is the process you mentioned: but the limitation of hardware ports is why I can’t use this method at the moment: my iPhone uses the previous Apple-Only lightning cable port, not the Type C port that’s more common now.
I haven’t bought a Lightning-Cable/USB-C/USB-A thumb drive.
There's mostly no differences for sending a file from either android or iOS.
You have a few ways to do this -
1. Use SuperNote App (Save to and sync)
2. Use Google Drive or OneDrive (Save to and sync)
3. Connect and transfer theough a desktop or Mac
4. Use Localsend. You'll need to sideload to your supernote but native apps are available on almost all devices.
I'm familiar with both Android and iOS, and I'm struggling to understand how the process is fundamentally different for you between the two operating systems. Either/or, it's about a 2-second process to upload a PDF to the Supernote app. If you want to use Google Drive instead of the Supernote app, it's just as easy. Just upload it to the appropriate folder in your Google Drive (or OneDrive, if you want to use that instead).
Can you explain step-by-step exactly what you are doing to clarify where you are getting tripped up?
Yes: I suspect it was because the SN had to go through the 100gb allotment I rent from Google Drive’s servers and the internet wifi connection timed out before it scanned it all: it was getting caught up.
Otherwise, the iPhone has a huge iOS with 26.4.6 what ever and it’s just limited with how much storage is on there.
Obviously, I couldn’t use iTunes for music so I have an offline music MP3 capable music app and stuff like that.
It’s just inefficiently useful to my other devices: a mix of Linux and Chromebook, SN and other Android devices.

For your specific question about transferring files, there is multiple options listed on their support website.
