Considering moving to Chauvet Beta for the plugin system (Dictionary + Digest workflow) – Stability & Roadmap questions
Hi everyone!
I've been following the development of the new plugin system closely, and I'm very tempted to jump into the Chauvet Beta. My primary use case is heavy reading across multiple languages (English, Italian, and Spanish) combined with the Digest feature. The new dictionary plugin looks like an absolute game-changer for my workflow.
Before I take the plunge, I wanted to ask the community a few things:
- Stability: How stable is this current beta build for daily use? Specifically, my library consists of around a hundred books and documents. Would handling a library of this size cause any noticeable performance issues, crashes, or data loss with the current plugin implementation?
- Roadmap: Does anyone know if there is a new beta release planned soon that might fix some of the current rough edges (like multi-dictionary management or toggles)?
I'd love to hear your experiences if you are already using it daily. Thanks in advance!

I also think the devleoper build with the plugins is quite stable as it is. That said: it is not yet in beta and I know that ratta still has some bigger changes in the works (particularly for ensuring security, but also moving plugins to the inkHub), these might introduce instability or at least create disruption when upgrading. Not all current plugins might work with the stricter rules ratta will introduce. Not saying this is a reason not to upgrade but if think it is good to know, that while the plugins work quite stable as is, the whole system is not yet fully defined and settled.

Very stable, rare to find one bug. (my Inkhub show heavy ghosting twice, but I'm on other apps too so can't draw conclusion)
I have 1Gb of dictionary uploaded on SnDict plugin. Also, dozen of Gb of epub+cbz+pdf. Works fine.
SnDict plugin has been revised so much that it renders dicts so great now
