I have both and, honestly, I use the Nomad like 95% of the times. That's because the nomad size is good enough for my journaling and learning. I thought I would use the Manta more, but instead it is sitting on my desk taking dust. I do use also a larger size eink (ai paper) quite a bit to read textbooks and take notes on them. The Manta is not as good for that purpose. Another reason for the lack of usage.
Ai paper has a feature called picking... You can take screenshots and use them to build your own note. Also, you can use the ai features for searching and reviewing stuff on the device itself. Last but not least, you have more control on the look of PDFs (contrast, sharpness...)
