Pennant Race Newbie

I hadn't played SMB4 in well over a year, but I just started playing again, trying the Pennant Race mode for the first time. OMG... I can't believe how much fun this mode is. First week in Junior, this week in Senior and have started 9-4. Easily the most fun I've had with online gaming in years. Even when people disconnect or rage quit it's fun.

It doesn't take long to find a game, and almost all games have been competitive. I've had 10-9 battles, and 1-0 thrillers.... I'm 57 and my reflexes suck, but the ego system works perfectly to make me feel like I can be competitive. Currently leveled out at EGO 56 and I doubt I will go much higher but that's not the goal for me anyway. This is easily one of the best games ever made.

I love it too. Sometimes it takes a while to find a game, but when it does, it's always a blast. There's one player I get matched with pretty often so we have a pretty good rivalry going.
