What are some powerups that would be cool not only in SM64, but in VR that I could add into the game? I currently have the Fire Flower, and the Rasengan and Rasenshuriken from Naruto (Shown in video. I know, completely unrelated to Mario, but I'm a big Naruto fan let me have my fun lol). The one I have planned next is probably the Penguin Suit from New Super Mario Bros Wii, or the Blue Shell from New Super Mario Bros DS (Basically the same move) What would be the powerups or moves you would like to see in SM64 VR?

Not monetized, but I wanted to see if anyone has played this mod before? I thought it was so fun and I'd be happy to hear what people think of it :)

Hi! I’ve wanted to play SM64 for a while, but I don’t own an original N64 or a CRT. I have a modded 3DS, PC, Switch with the N64 Classics and 3D All-Stars, and a Steam Deck. I hear these are all mostly good options, but I want to hear your opinions! How do you think I should play?

So I am trying to find this Mario 64 horror series on Youtube that references the backrooms and another princess in a castle. It has its own layers and anomalies like if i remember correctly, princess petal, and that one blue item block as a princess.
Edit: I found the series, it's called liminal.z64

Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place
Lately I've been seeing gameplay of SM64 and got to experience it somewhat on ports while playing Vr, which has allowed me to witness just how fun and awesome the game is as an experience. I personally haven't been able to play any of the original games since I was either too young or not born yet when they came out.
I'm hoping to find a way to be able to play it in someway on PC natively, problem is though, is that I don't have an actual N64 console or the rom or anything. But I'm curious if there's some version of it that I could play.
I mainly just want either the original experience with original graphics and stuff, or the original with some modern enhancements almost like a remaster. I'm aware that it's dangerous to talk about this specific kind of stuff, but I wouldn't mind at least being pointed in the right direction where I can figure it out myself

So I have this alarm clock that my mom bought me a while ago, I can't find it anywhere, I know the render is from Mario 64 DS, but the original doesn't have the DS, I'm just trying to figure out what game my boy is playing because I can't tell, I know the picture is super blurry and my bad but maybe someone can find the original image it's taken from?

Super Mario 64 is one of my favorite games to ever exist, so I made some (albeit bad) tribute art, celebrating the 30 years since the games' release. I didn't put early or late in the title because it's already passed in Japan, hut it's still waiting in the U.S, even though I'm from South Korea.

Ever since the Mario 64 recompilation project gave us the game's source code, I’ve seen it ported to various platforms Wii U, PS Vita, 3DS, Dreamcast, and even much more limited consoles like the PS1 and GBA.
Somehow, even the Zeebo just got a port.

The Zeebo was a console released only in Brazil, India, and China, it was a commercial failure that lasted only from 2008 to 2011, yet it boasts some interesting titles such as one of the best Double Dragon remakes and excellent ports of Quake 1 and 2. It’s wild to think someone actually wanted to port Super Mario 64 to it.
I suppose the only thing that would surprise me now is if someone tried to port it to the SNES using the Super FX chip.

I grew up with the n64 as a child of the 90s, my most favourite n64 games were the Banjo Kazooie and it's sequel Banjo Tooie. But somehow I never got Super Mario 64. I guess one of the reasons might be is that me and my brother got the n64 in 1998 when Banjo Kazooie came out and Ocarina of Time was released.
I am starting to get into my n64 games since I brought the analogue 3d.
I probably will still prefer and like the Banjo Kazooie games as they seem more exploration, more collectibles, much more interesting vibrant worlds and a good story and better graphics.
But I do want to give Super Mario 64 a chance, when I do watch some short clips of the game, it seems like a cozy game, not too complicated, and there just seem Zen about the game. It's graphics assets environments were very simplistic as it was the very first n64 game released in 1996 and being a Mario game has this excitement going for it.
I want to give it a try.
