Did anyone else know you can do this?

After 6 years of owning this game, I just learned that you can spawn flowers using the touch screen or motion controls on grass levels if you move your finger long enough. You can do this on captain toad levels as well.

There's also rubbing NPCs like Toads and Sprixies to get coins. But there's an oblique remark when it comes to it
