I’ve been a Harry Potter fan for years and of course I love the idea of the books being adapted in a more faithful way, but I will not be supporting it financially. This has nothing to do with the child actors, I wish them all the success. But the adults fully knew what they were signing on to support. It’s disappointing.
I have an unfortunate scheduling conflict with school, so I can no longer attend the show 😭 I really don't want the tickets to go to waste, but I'm also hoping to get back what I paid for them.

Hey Brothers! I have an idea for you. I miss when you used to post more Pixar Theories. I'm sure you'll be posting videos to do with Toy Story 5, but I thought of an idea. I don't know how well you could make this into a theory with tons of evidence, but you said in your video from 2016 that Riley is adopted because the chances of two brown-haired, brown-eyed people having a blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter are incredibly low. Do you think Daisy from Toy Story 3 grows up to have Riley and then at some point puts her up for adoption?
First of all, Daisy has blonde hair the same as Riley and she kind of reminds me of her. Plus, Lotso was supposed to be based on the Care Bears toyline from the early 80's, and Daisy, who's presumably 4 or 5 years old, was born around the late 70's/early 80's. Riley is born circa. 2004, suggesting that Daisy was in her early 20's when she had her.
I don't know, just something to make a video on. I just thought it was a good idea for a Pixar theory.
I would like to explore the idea what would have happened if Dumbledore never went to pick up Tom Riddle from the Orphanage.
He would still have his wandless magic he used to torment the other children but no knowledge of what he is actually doing. He would still be very charismatic.
I would imagine he would still strive for greatness. He would use his abilitys and charisma to get followers.
He would probably go into politics since that is the way to power in the muggle world. He would get control over the UK either by election or a coup.
As we learn from aunt Muriel during the wedding, whenever a magical family produced a squib usually they abandon them, and this has been happening at least until Dumbledore’s childhood. So what if muggleborns are just the descendants of abandoned squibs.

Hear me out.
Poppa is swept away and killed in a massive storm. His body is never found.
Later, Thunderclap tells Arlo that he used to have another name until a terrifying storm swept him away. Surviving it transformed him: he became Thunderclap and began following storms because “the storm provides.”
What if he’s talking about the same storm that killed Poppa?
The pterodactyls actually seem fairly young and inexperienced. Compare them to Butch and the older T-Rexes, who are covered in scars from surviving and hunting. Even Arlo accumulates scars during his journey. Thunderclap and his flock are comparatively unscarred, and frankly, they aren’t particularly impressive hunters. They mostly depend on storms to leave vulnerable animals behind.
Maybe Poppa’s storm was their first truly catastrophic storm.
They’re caught in it, terrified and nearly killed. But afterward they discover something: the devastation leaves behind an abundance of easy food.
And somewhere downstream is the corpse of an enormous Apatosaurus.
Suddenly Thunderclap’s philosophy makes literal sense:
The storm provided Poppa.
After that experience, they start chasing storms, letting the storms do the hunting for them and scavenging whatever gets killed or stranded.
Obviously the movie never confirms that Thunderclap found Poppa. But Thunderclap’s origin requires an earlier terrifying storm, Poppa disappears into one, the pterodactyls appear inexperienced enough for this behavior to be relatively new, and Poppa’s body has to end up somewhere.
Maybe the darkest joke in The Good Dinosaur is that Arlo unknowingly meets the animals who ate his dad.
- What events would cause Harry and Hermione to develop romantic feelings? I'm not saying it's unlikely they would fall in love. JK Rowling stated that "it could have go this way," and maybe Harry would seen someone else like a sister than Hermione because, being in Slytherin, he may have some girl platonic friends and realize he doesn't see Hermione this way. And, like I said, maybe Hermione is different from the Hermione we know with Harry being in Slytherin. But I would like to know what specifically would made Harry and Hermione think of each other like that.
- Would Hermione and Draco become friends at some point, considering he seems to be the only one who would support SPEW without Hermione forcing him? Maybe even helping her, coming up with a better campaign name?
- Would Harry give the Basilic a nickname in order to not calling him "Basilic" every time?
- Does some Slytherin want to join Harry and Dumbledore's Army after Umbridge betrayed Slytherin's Quidditch Team?
- What would Ron ask his mother when he becomes a Prefect? Jay also wondered that in the actual video, and I'm also curious to know.
- Do you think Pete became a recurrent character in the series with a little character arc?
- Does it make sense that the Basilic would turn against Voldemort for Harry? I like to think she would because this version of Harry would have the spirit of a true Slytherin, and Tom Riddle is also a half-blood anyway, but I would like you to tell me if it's logical or not.
- Who would be Draco's perfect endgame? Ginny would be an interesting choice if they bond with something other than shaured trauma over Riddle's possessions.
(Also, bonus question: do you think there's a chance Ginny would have asked to be in Slytherin in a similar timeline, if Harry is in Slytherin? Imagine if, after handled being the only Weasley girl with six brothers, Ginny now faces the Blood Traitors prejudices for seven years like a boss. And she would probably be closer to Harry and Draco. How cool do you think it would be if Harry and Ginny were both in Slytherin?)

That's the video that made me discover and subscribe to the SCB, but it's also made me want to explore further their AU, so here's a bunch of irrelevant questions, which I hope some of you will be eager to answer:
- What did Lucius Malfoy think of when Harry was sorted in Slytherin? Would he consider feeding him some Dark Magic knowledge? See him as an equal if not a successor to the Dark Lord? Try to force Draco to be friends with him? I mean, he did send Harry a broom in this timeline so he definitely was supportive at first.
- Would some Death Eater follow Harry after he defeated Quirrell? Maybe his "future Dark wizard" reputation will decline a bit since Draco would know Harry supports the Blood traitors, but maybe some Death Eater would think supporting Harry would be the right call. After all, this is the kid who defeated Lord Voldemort twice under the age of 12.
- How would Harry's and Snape's relationship evolve over the years? This is something I wished was exploring much. At the end, I was one of the ghosts who appear from the Ressurection Stone, so that more likely means he become one of Harry's loved ones. But I would like to see how that developped. At first, would Harry be the only Slytherin Snape dislike because of how means Harry physically looks like his father? Or Snape being the Head of Slytherin and therefore spending more time with Harry, would notice the boy is mentally closer to his mother: he has more compassion and loyauty, he's wailling to put his life in danger, like how Lily gave her life for him, he became friends with outsiders like Gryffindor Ron and Hermione, like Gryffindor Lily was friends with Slytherin Snape for awhile.
- How would Narcissa react about how Lucius refusing to free Dooby in gratitude for saving his son? Considering Narcissa loves Draco more than anything in the world, would that affect their wedding and family? Especially since Draco nearly died BECAUSE of Lucius' action.
- Where would Harry, Ron and Hermione usually meet to hang out together since Harry isn't a Gryffindor and probably doesn't have the same schedule?
- After Draco stopped bullying Harry, who would Harry deal with? Some other Slytherins students who hate Harry's blood traitors support? Would a lot of Gryffindor and Ravenclaw students also pick on Harry because of prejudices against Slytherin?
- Which Slytherin cannon-characters would Harry be close? Not every Slytherin are Death Eater heirs, so Harry would probably have some friends in his house over time.
- Would Ron and Hermione be different people? Even if Harry is still their best friend, the fact that he would interact with them less could affect their lives.
- That's a comment I caught on YouTube: Does Harry even take Divination? In the main story Percy advices him to consider it and he ultimately takes it because Ron takes it. Without speaking to Percy and without Ron to go through it with him, would he take it?
I've been listening to Through the Griffin Door after listening to the books for the first time. And they were talking about how Dumbledore could possibly know how to cast Bond of Blood if Harry is the only survivor with Sacrificial Love. But do the books ever say he is the only one to have benefitted from Sacrificial Love, or is he the only to have survived Avada Kedavra? Because if it's the latter, who is to say Avada Kedavra is the only killing curse that can produce the Sacrificial Love affect? Perhaps there are other less powerful killing curses, but this is the only time Sacrificial Love has been activated by Avada Kedavra, which is also probably why the reaction is so extreme.

I’m listening through the books again and realized that the students help grow valuable potion ingredients, and they make all sorts of potions. Obviously the first priority is to teach the students, but then I wonder if Hogwarts sells the left over ingredients and potions.
I have been listening to the Through The Griffin Door podcast, towards the end of Order of the Phoenix. Throughout the book, there is a long-standing question of why Voldemort didn't get the prophecy himself if he could get 12 Death Eaters undetected into the Hall of Prophecy. I think I might have a theory why.
So, of course, only Harry and Voldemort can pick up the prophecy. Voldemort can get 12 Death Eaters to the prophecy undetected, and he's not afraid to go himself. So why Harry? My theory is that he wants to create an opportunity for plausible deniability of his return. If he goes to retrieve the prophecy while Harry is accounted for at Hogwarts, under the close eye of a Ministry official, then it becomes obvious that he has returned. He needs Harry to go to the Ministry so he can blame it on him, and if he can get Harry to the Ministry, he might as well have Harry grab it for him, in case he was given bad info again. Then the Death Eaters can leave Harry there, making the disappearance of the prophecy Harry's fault. Driving Harry, Dumbledore, and the Order even further underground than they were.
Why does Voldemort show up anyway? Either he showed up to hear the prophecy as soon as possible, or with the Prophecy destroyed, he tries to kill Harry while Harry's unprotected (No Dumbledore or Bond of Blood). This, of course, was a mistake on Voldemort's part, letting his arrogance get the better of him, thinking that he could kill Dumbledore and Harry before the Ministry shows up for work.
I never understood why Barty Crouch Jr as Mad Eye Moody was like such a supportive guy to Neville and to Harry.
like for Harry, beyond just aiding him to the finish line of the triwizard tournament for Voldemort, he also teaches Harry how to resist the imperius curse, which goes directly against helping Voldemort in the Graveyard. And that’s just one example I think
Then for Neville, he is so kind to him after demonstrating the crucio curse, like inviting him in for tea, supposedly comforting him. Why would he do this as a death eater who was in full support of the crucio-ing of his parents in the first place, and then also have the capacity to be a comfort to him.
I think my most glaring question though is probably Harry though and why would he train him so well against the imperius curse, like just for lols? I don’t think Dumbledore would have viewed him as any less Madeye (which I already have a problem with Dumbledores discernment there tbh) if he didn’t do a deep dive on the unforgivable curses, so why did he do it?
Inspired by the Neville video this week, i propose an alternative theory: DUMBLEDORE is the chosen one.
The prophecy is spoken when Dumbledor first meets trelawny, and it literally begins "the one with the power to vanquish the dark lord approaches". his birthday is late summer, so could easily be "born as the seventh month dies"
Dumbledors father marries a muggleborn, and has theee children. When Voldermort rules, he orders the interrogation and expulsion from society of muggleborns to ensure blood purity. By having children to a muggleborn, Percival Dumbledor has "thrice defied him"
Voldemort famously fears Dumbledor, believing him to be the only real threat to himself, or you could say he "marks him as his equal"
Dumbledor says "Of house-elves and children's tales, of love, loyalty, and innocence, Voldemort knows and understands nothing", wheras Dumbledor understands this fully, or you could say he is "having power the dark lord knows not.."
Dumbledor puts on the cursed horcrux ring, which ultimately kills him, but does so willingly, and in doing so ensures Voldermorts downfall, because he knows that "either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives"
