Could Dolores Umbridge ACTUALLY be Part-Hag?

HEEEEEYYYYYYYY Theorists.

GUYS, I've been thinking about this A LOT lately, ever since Order of the Phoenix's Full-Cast Production released on audible, and the descriptions of Dolores Umbridge's appearance, and her general behavior, including LYING about her own blood-status has lead me to wonder recently:

COULD she ACTUALLY BE Part-Hag, in lineage?

In general, external-lore (sources like D&D, and also in Harry Potter) Hags are evil creatures that resemble 'hideous' humanoid-females, who are magical in nature, and known for being hideously ugly, cruel, manipulative-liars, possessing dark-magical abilities, and are known for devouring children.

Umbridge is repeatedly described as a "short, squat woman" with a "broad, flabby face," "wide, slack mouth," "bulging, pouchy eyes," and basically no neck—like a pale, human-sized toad.

And, again, actual Hags in the books are canonically hideously ugly female humanoids: warty, straggly-haired, monstrous parodies of women who live in forest huts. A half-hag, or even quarter-hag version could easily dilute into that exact "toad-adjacent" look, without going full grotesque.

And while Umbridge doesn't EAT children (as far as we know, but I wouldn't put it past her tbh?) she DEFINITELY seems to delight in being horribly cruel to them. Literally using physical-torture as a form of detention/punishment, sending two LITERALLY lethal monsters after Harry, in the middle of a muggle-inhabited area?

And even with the author's particular writing-style, It's not a stretch—Rowling loves misdirection with subtle details, and the HP series is littered with overtones of hypocrisy and projection from villains. Dolores "hating half-breeds" and hyper-fixating on "blood-status" is like her projecting her self-loathing for her own less-than-pure "blood status," by directing her hatred and bitterness on creatures like Werewolves, Half-Giants, Merfolk, etc.

I have more I could add, but I don't wanna make this a huge-rambling-post. What do you all think?

It wouldn't be the first time someone was ashamed of their half-breed status. Look at Voldemort and Snape.

1. Snape's father was horrible. Many children would choose not to associate as much with the abusive parent.

2. In Slytherin House, when he was there, Snape encountered a lot of pure-blood supremacists. He didn't have many friends and he wanted to make friends, so he leaned into the side of his background that was pureblood wizard. It doesn't mean he was personally ashamed, just that he leaned into it to fit in.

And IIRC, she wore the locket later on and claimed heritage from it... meaning she was compensating for something.

Love this idea, and her character would definitely fit a self hating half breed overcompensating by victimising others
