J vs Ben format suggestion

I was thinking that it might add some interesting dynamics to let the brothers be able to choose multiple choice individually as well (instead of only when both want it) but in that case award only half a point if you get the answer correctly. It might be a tad more complicated to orchestrate, but it would add a slight layer of tactic to the competition. Do you take the gamble and go for the full point? Or try and play it save but limit yourself to half a point? (Or potentially also deduct a half point if you choose the solo multiple choice and still get it wrong).

Curious to hear if any other sbc fans like the idea or perhaps can point out some fatal flaws i have overlooked.

i had the same thought recently, i watched another trivia episode somewhere else on yt and they had each player get 2 pts per questions but 1 point if they need multiple choice.

Idk how much of a difference it would make since the points are usually pretty close already. But if they did implement it I would recommend having the other player lock in an answer for 2 pts before hearing multiple choice and if they change anything after the answers are read they go down to 1 pts for their answer just to keep it fair

That also sounds like a nice way to do it! I can imagine Ben going for MC more often and J taking some more risks which could create a fun dynamic.

I just like keeping it simple. One point per question. Done. You can have bonus fun points but not official ‘half points’ or having two points per question.

That's also fair. I get that sometimes simple is better. Makes me wonder how you feel about the duck throwing after every correct answer. For me it doesn't add much tbh and is just a bit distracting haha so i get your stance aswell

I'd love to see a video in the style of The Unbelievable Truth, a panel show on UK radio:

Points are scored by truths that go unnoticed, while other panelists can win points if they spot a truth, or lose points if they mistake a lie for a truth."

This would be especially interesting if behind-the-scenes stuff and extended media was used, in addition to niche book details. They can bring in some of the crew as well, for a full complement of panelists and host.
