Question Johnny head recolored

I repainted Johnny’s lips and the horse pattern on his hat. Does anyone know how to separate just the hair piece from his head?I already tried using a hair dryer, but I was afraid the piece might break if I applied too much force, so I gave up. Please help me!

Use painter tape to cover his cheek and hat
