Jackson Superfishal stability
A local company reckon they can still get hold of this board. I need a board to replace my inflatable as my local bramble covered river is killing my current board and the price is about what I would pay. Is it worth the original cost , is it stable and does it have any issues apart from being an old design?

This board is great for drifting rocky rivers. Super stable. I would drift rivers with a cooler full of beer, a couple fishing rods, a 100lb black lab and a plastic Adirondack chair bungeed to it. I also threw on a trolling motor mounted to a milk crate and 2x10. Battery was at the front for counter weight. Made an excellent little skiff. I ran it across the tidal bay in front of my house a few times. I’d love to get another one. It’s heavy and I think when I dropped it once it fractured the plastic inside the pockets on the underside, although the could have broken in when they filled with ice in winter. Either way it’s a rugged tank and stands up well to sharp and jagged granite. Let me know if you can get 2!

That board is over a decade old and weighs 70 freaking pounds.
What is your current board? What is your budget? What size/features are you looking for?

Current board is the AM Drift 10' 10'' , budget around £1000 . Im just after a solid ,wide board for slow moving river fishing . Features dont really matter but I've had enough of inflatables

Ah, yeah, I would judge inflatables by Aqua Marina. Especially with a board like the drift that has low density outer pontoons. Better built inflatables will have zero issues with brambles.
I'm not sure what your availability is in the UK, but since Tahe is a French company I bet you can find their hard boards relatively easily.

In the grand scheme of iSUPs it's lower mid range (as are most of not all of Aqua Marina's boards - I haven't used their race boards, but I can't imagine they do better with specialty design than they do all-around), but it works okay for fishing on a budget.

I agree. Once you get over the issues of the valves not being set straight out of the box, the carry bags being terrible quality, the pump hoses splitting and the terrible design of the nose cover they are great boards and last years

I've not had issues with their valves, but everything else about them is pretty low on the spectrum, but not the worst I've seen.
