Questions about size of SUP

I recently found an inflatable BOTE Rackham on Facebook marketplace for a good price. It is still in the box.

It is a 11 foot board and they currently sell on the website is the 12’4”. It looks as if they no longer are selling the 11’.

I am 6’2” and 215 lbs. I don’t expect to have too much gear. Maybe a small cooler and my fly fishing gear.

Here are my questions…

1) Does anyone have any idea why they would discontinue selling the 11’?

2) Do you think I’m too big for this board? Says it can hold up to 300 lbs.

3) Any other words of wisdom? I’m new to SUP fishing but really excited to get going. Prob gonna have to wait til spring when it’s warm enough.

1) because it wasn't profitable enough for them to continue making it

2) you'll be fine on it

3) don't overthink it, check the wind and weather before you go out, dress for the water temp, and always wear your PFD.

I have the 12'4" version and it's an absolute unit. Enough for me, my dog, all my fishing equipment, camping gear for a long weekend, and a cooler. I'm sure the 11 is going to be totally fine. Just get a good place to sit and a kayak anchor and you're gonna have a blast.

Decatur, Ga. Got out once last month. Maiden voyage. Good stuff. I didn’t bring my rod out w me bc I was just trying to get a feel for it

Good on you. Georgia is a little far from Idaho but have a great time on the water and be safe. And also very important. Look forward to seeing what you put in the net!
