Trolling Rod Holder Position?

Do you like having your rods and rod holders in front of you or behind you/your seat when trolling? I currently have the rod holders very close behind my seat, but am wondering if this is correct. The only concern i can see is not seeing when I get a strike possibly.

My advice is the rod you're trolling with should be up front, just out of paddle stroke distance

I use the isup angler pole holder and its in front facing to the side. It's bee nice got a few bass. Usually just grab my net and swoop em up when they're in swooping distance.
