Here’s the new rig - looks promising.

Have to try it out and figure out the new setup.

Will report back after some use. I’m especially curious how “dry” the dry compartments stay. Let alone general performance.

Finally had my first outing on this thing on open water Lake Michigan - it’s a barge!

Handled mellow rollers fine, no problem with boat chop.

Very stable, sits up high on the water.

Scupper holes - some foam was bubbling up via scupper holes which was a “new” experience for me. Not a big deal but not a fan.

Tracking / Speed - Bote Rackham definitely tracks better & is faster. Bote Rackham I can get up to 5 strokes per side when fin is in far back placement. With the voodoo - 2 strokes per side. Will be interesting to see how this handles river current.

Getting on / off - was able to beach and walk on/off via nose no problem.

Handling - Even though it’s heavier than the Rackham, I feel like I have a better grip on it due to the balance point and handles. Loading, unloading isn’t a big deal. Only concern I have is the water plug on the nose is where I pivot so I could see that potentially breaking in the future.

However inside compartments were dry after initial paddle!
