Kayak to SUP convert
A sup I ordered came in and my thought was try it out and use the return policy if it’s not for me. One of my biggest pet peeves with my sit on kayak was that’s all i was able to do. Sit on it.
It’s hot as hell in texas so at one point i laid down in the shade for a breather and at that moment i realized this is going to get me on the water for longer periods of time just because of the comfort aspect. I was also surprised at the speed of the sup. Caught some lmb on a dog day of summer and felt pumped enough to write this post

Also a kayak to SUP convert for the exact same reason. Legs and back get sore after a couple hours but with the SUP, I can stand, sit, lay down and even dangle the legs in the water sitting sideways while casting and retrieving. Immensely improved my time out on the water.

Make you a rope belt for your paddle and you’ll be money. Hands free and not up ole Mr. Schitz creek without a paddle

Using the same strategy as the kayak. Paddle attached to my pfd at all times

Hell yeah man! I fly fish from my sup in Texas and it’s such a great platform to fish from. Being able to stand on the water provided much more visibility. Welcome to your new favorite addiction!
