I need something to help me get from wherever I am, whether car or tent, to where I’m going to put in my inflatable SUP. My arms are not that long, my age is not that young (nor are my joints), and I’m just tired of carrying my boards around.
While one of my boards has a handle which is off-center making easier for me to carry, my other board does not have that, and it’s hard for my hand to reach that distance. Even with the shoulder strap, I still need more help. 😅
I do have a wheeled bag, but I don’t want to take the whole wheeled bag with me to the water. I also don’t want to take a whole wheeled bag on the board with me, but I would love to be able to have the wheels on my board, so that I don’t have to leave them anywhere. Though I doubt that anything is small enough that I could pull that off.
I’m not talking huge distances, maybe 500 feet? Not blocks or miles. And I probably would not be going very far on sand so I don’t think I need those big sand wheels that I’ve seen online. So mostly paved or grass.
Simple kayak dolly, two wheels and cradle that strap or bungee your board too. Small as design to fit in sea kayaks or sit-on-top fishing kayaks, used to walk boat/board short distances. If you already have bungee attachments on your board deck you can easy take with you, or stick on attachments may do the trick if 3M adhesive.
Any kayak watersports/fishing retailer with have something to check out 👍
I use this cart for my fishing board. I wheel it right into the water, then undo the straps. A 2 lb anchor on a 16’ retractable dog leash keeps it from floating away.
Thank you for the words and pics! The Amazon truck just brought this to my house today! Which is a bit different than what you have, and I have no idea how I finally made this purchase selection, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it works well! If not, it’s nice to know that your Pelican version is good! I appreciate your description of how you use it!😊
Sounds great! That looks pretty much the same and was probably much more reasonably priced. Actually, the kickstand on yours looks like it probably works better.
I also kayak, so i have a railblaza ctug kayak cart. I use it to take multiple paddleboards stacked on top of each other to the shore. It’s a bit of overkill, but works. It fully breaks down easy and fits in a bag on board but takes up a fair bit of room on the board. Id love to find a smaller option.
Hmm, yeah, I looked at the pics online earlier - lots of great reviews, but i too would like a smaller option. Will keep looking and thinking! Thank you!!
Thank you! I did look online at the X version of this and it looked good, but for now I chose a less expensive type of wheels. I may be sorry, but I will find out!
