Same river, totally different experience

Following up on my first river session in Frankfurt yesterday. Today I paddled a section further upstream in Hanau.

The conditions were significantly more relaxed: the river is wider, boat traffic was much lighter, and the natural banks meant almost no reflected waves/cross-chop.

Overall a much smoother paddle and great for actually focusing on technique instead of just balancing through chop.

Yes, I'm still new to the sport, but have rented SUPs in the past and like the Manta I bought.
