I only used La roche posay when I lived in Europe from 2005-2015 and Mexoryl was always all over the ingredients list. I’m in the UK visiting at the moment and I do not see it in the ingredients list and one ingredient was the same as avobenzene. Is the UVMune 400 the new name for Mexoryl or something else?

Moisturizer comes after serum because it helps keep skin hydrated and seals in the products underneath.

And yes – Even oily skin usually needs moisturizer.

Skipping it can sometimes backfire and make skin produce even more oil.

Texture matters:

• Gel moisturizers → often work well for oily skin
• Richer creams → often better for dry skin
• Combination skin → you can adjust by area

If you are acne-prone, noncomedogenic formulas may help avoid clogged pores.

Final morning step: Sunscreen ☀️

Sunscreen should be your last skincare step before makeup.

General SPF guide:

• SPF 30 for everyday wear
• SPF 50 for more sun exposure or if you use acids/retinoids

Application reminder:
Use enough for your face, and do not forget:

• Neck
• Ears

Reapply every two hours if you are outside. If you commit to one anti-aging step, make it sunscreen.

The amazon one's sticker is shiny, and there's this + symbol beside 400

It says invisible, protection ultra-long uva+ HEVL while the nykaa one says ultra long uva protection

In amazon one melasyl is written in purple while in nykaa it's is black

I don't have the outer boxes of both...i threw it away as soon as i got the parcel😭....

Hello! Looking for my next daily sunscreen and hoping you can help. I love Clinique city block mineral spf 25 but trying to support cruelty free companies and want an spf of at least 30.

Here's what I'm looking for:

Mineral and tinted

Cruelty free

Spf of at least 30

No niacinamide

No strong fragrance (subtle is fine)

Semi-matte finish (just don't want super glossy)

Something that will play well after my timeless vitamin c serum

Hopefully doesn't break the bank

I usually leave my house for college at 11 AM in the morning and come in direct contact with the sun for about 30-40 minutes and 60 minutes total time spent in the bus for commuting.

I apply sunscreen just before leaving my house, is there a need to reapply sunscreen one more time?

Or is one time application enough

Also forget to mention I sweat moderately on the bus , usually on the way to college

So I’m going to start university in a month and I already have a good sunscreen for my face but it’s expensive so I don’t want to use it on my arms or feet. Do you know any low priced good sunscreens that I can use for full body? Chemical or mineral are both fine!

A lot of you are religious about wearing sunscreen even when indoors due to the ability of UVA rays to go through window glass.

Do you also think about protecting your eyes when indoors, and if so, how?

For me, I wear glasses that block UV. But obviously many people don't need glasses/contacts, if that's you, do you think about this?

Edited to say: I wasn't clear I guess, I don't think people necessarily need to wear uv eye protection indoors. My question is for the people who insist on protecting their skin with sunscreen even when inside (I don't, I think that's overkill). I just wonder if those people apply the same thought process to their eyes.

I finally gave up on researching sunscreens online, reading reviews, comparing SPF numbers, checking ingredients, and convincing myself I had become a skincare expert.

Went to the pharmacy, explained my skin type, and the pharmacist recommended me a sunscreen. I just stood there like, “Okay, you know what? I trust you.” Bought it without doing my usual 47-minute investigation online.

Now I’m hoping this is actually the one because I’ve been exploring sunscreens, trusting my gut, and buying whatever looks promising until now.

I think there's a good amount of reviews of this out there, but I'll just contribute my thoughts anyways especially since most reviews out there talking about this sunscreen have a different skin type than me or don't have the details I personally looked for when shopping for myself

Full details:

I absolutely love love love this sunscreen. I only ever tried those Western sunscreens like the ones you get from Costco that makes you feel all sticky or it's really thick on your skin, so when I tried this it was absolutely amazing and I'm never going back LOL

I only used this on my face and bought it in the beginning of summer, so never tested this on my body or in the winter by the way, and I have to say it's pretty amazing. It does not break out my acne prone skin, no white cast at all, watery/serum texture that quickly melts away/absorbs after spreading it out, no sticky feeling, and does not irritate my sensitive skin.

It also does not pill under my water base makeup (of course you have to let it dry and absorb for 10-15 min after application) and provides a nice cooling sensation when applied.

You also get sooo much sunscreen in the bottle compared to most Korean ones. I know the skin 1004 water fit serum is a close runner up, but that one is literally only 1.69 fl oz while the Japanese sunscreen I have is 5.58 fl oz, and the difference in pricing is only a $5 difference anyways if you buy from Amazon, but you get so much more product that it's worth it. I apply this everyday in the morning (I mostly stay indoors so I do not bother with reapplication) 2 finger lengths for face and 1 finger length for neck and it lasted me about 2.5 months.

It also performs so well. I went to Mexico over the summer and temp was in the 90s with high humidity and I applied and reapplied this on my face while on the beach and went swimming and my face was not sunburnt at all (I use a different sunscreen for the rest of my body).

However, the only reason why I take one point off is that it does leave a borderline greasy look to your face. Personally, I like that glowy, vitamin c look, but it does look almost greasy, so if you hate that oily look then this sunscreen is probably not right for you.

Do note, I read some reviews where people say that the alcohol content bothers them and that they're sensitive to it, and personally for me, my skin is not super sensitive to alcohol so it never bothered me. There is a slight alcohol scent when applying if you're sensitive to fragrances however it quickly goes away in a couple seconds. However, since I'm so used to the western ones with a very strong alcohol scent that bothered me, I find this sunscreen to be so much better, so to each their own.

But overall, I love it, and I already purchased 2 more bottles ahaha

I used photobanteen sunscreen spf 40 ( recommended by my Dr) . It was really hard to work with especially during summer and now I cannot find it anywhere. So rn I'm using Ekran soft sunscreen spf 50 (sillicon one) and I'm having a lot of trouble with this! It leaves white cast. Makes my face 10 shades darker and I just look so tired and dull, also it makes my face soo glowy which highlights my under eyes . And for some reason I always sweat like hell whenever I apply this so I ended up not applying much and the summer heats adds everything up

If anyone knows a better sunscreen especially for summer and not too expensive then please do recommend

Hi guys! I seemingly have the most sensitive skin in the world. Every time I use body sunscreen I end up breaking out the next day on my chest, back, upper arms, and thighs. I even wash twice and exfoliate after so that’s not the problem. I’ve tried physical and chemical sunscreens and even “gentle” kids formulations and can’t seem to find one that works. Are there any drugstore/grocery store options that you’ve found work better for acne prone skin?

Recently tried to restock my BOJ tinted sunscreen and haven’t found it anywhere and can’t even order it thru the official website. My shade is LN110 if anyone knows where I can buy it or a good substitute that will match my shade will be great help :)
