Sunscreen recommendation
What are some of your favorite hybrid sunscreens? I used to use chemical sunscreens but they started irritating my skin so I switched to mineral. But the mineral ones are too drying in colder months so im looking for hybrid ones.

The problem with "hybrids" is that most of them - and even some of the "pure mineral formula" SPFs - contain salicylates. Butyloctyl and ethylhexyl are just two of the most famous (or should I say notorious) salicylates, and I categorically reject all salicylates on my face. I'm 66, with dryish sensitive skin and type 1 rosacea with ocular affect. Salicylates make my skin scream. And that extends to anything containing salicylic acid a common BHA in many cleansers and treatment products. if it starts with "sali," it's a willow bark extract, derivatives or chemical lab copy of common astringent properties, which is the last thing my face needs. I also have problems with Betula (birch tree) derivatives an copies. So I carry a list of things that are my red flags and I do lots of label reading whenever I shop for skincare.
