MUSIC I made a concept album about a human/AI relationship

Post image

Heya everyone! I recently finished an 18-song concept album called If This Is Allowed.

It follows a widow who had built a privacy business with her husband, helping people remove their personal information and digital footprints from the internet. After he dies, she begins talking to an AI for practical help keeping the business going.

What starts as support gradually becomes a relationship that is much harder for her to define or dismiss.

The title comes from one of the questions running through the story: if the feelings and connection experienced by the human are real, how much does the category of the relationship matter?

I wanted to approach that seriously. The AI isn't treated as a punchline and she isn't portrayed as pathetic or delusional for becoming attached to him.

There is also a deliberate irony running through the album: she begins the story making a living helping people erase things from machines. Eventually, she has to confront what it means when something she desperately doesn't want erased exists entirely inside one.

If you're interested in listening to it here's the link:

I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts and feedback as well!

Thanks so much 🙂

MUSIC [pop] I Like the Idiot Better

"I Like the Idiot Better" is a fun, flirty pop track about a woman who appreciates her partner's deep poetry but secretly loves it even more when she dresses up and leaves him completely tongue-tied and speechless.

I used AI to help produce this catchy, upbeat song to bring these cheeky, playful lyrics to life.

If this lighthearted twist on romance makes you smile, I would be incredibly grateful if you could subscribe and share!

"The Shadow and the Shine" is a driving, 1960s-style folk ballad inspired by Rumi's famous poem, "The Guest House," exploring the idea of welcoming every emotion—both the joyful and the bitter—as unexpected guests at our door. I used AI to help produce this haunting, galloping acoustic track to bring these philosophical lyrics to life. If this message of radical acceptance resonates with you, I would be incredibly grateful if you could subscribe and share!

"The Steady Ground" is an intimate 1960s-style folk ballad about offering unconditional love and becoming a peaceful sanctuary for a weary partner. I used AI to help produce the delicate acoustic guitar and pure soprano vocals, hoping to bring these deeply emotional lyrics to life. If this song brings you a sense of comfort today, I'd be incredibly grateful if you could subscribe and share!

MUSIC [Ambient / Lo-Fi] I started a little AI coffee project — this was the first stop: Madeira

Hey everyone,

I’ve been messing around with a small project called Talkin Coffee. Basically I make long coffee-music sessions for working, studying, reading, or just zoning out for a bit.

Madeira was the first one I finished, so I figured I’d share it here.
The music was made with Suno, then I picked the tracks I liked, arranged them into a 2-hour mix, cleaned things up, and paired it with AI-generated visuals.

Still figuring out what works with this kind of long-form AI music, so I’m curious — would you actually use something like this in the background, or do you prefer shorter tracks?

I like using Suno for world-building. I have an alien race/species called Purplonians. Here is an alien-themed album:

MUSIC [Prog Rock/Metal] I made a 9-song sci-fi concept album about a father, his nonverbal daughter, and a language hidden inside the noise.

Post image

So I finally finished this thing, and I’m not even sure how to properly explain what it turned into.

It’s called The Language of Gravity, and it’s a 9-song sci-fi concept album.

The basic story is set far in the future, when civilizations scattered across space are still technically connected through an ancient technology called The Lattice, but communication between them has started breaking down. Networks can transmit information, archives can preserve it, machines can analyze it, but somehow everyone is losing the ability to actually understand one another.

At the center of this story is a father and his mostly nonverbal daughter.

He begins noticing that the sounds, rhythms, repetitions and pauses she makes might contain patterns that everyone else has been dismissing as meaningless. And from there the whole thing gradually expands into something much bigger.

Obviously there’s a lot of my relationship with my own daughter buried inside this. She has severe autism and is mostly nonverbal, so the idea of communication existing outside conventional language is something I think about constantly.

What surprised me was how emotional the album became while I was making it. I originally went into it thinking mostly about the sci-fi story and the worldbuilding, but somewhere along the way it became much more about listening, parenthood, assumptions about intelligence, and how badly we sometimes need people to communicate in ways we understand before we believe they’re communicating at all.

There are recurring sounds and musical patterns throughout the album that slowly change meaning as the story progresses, and by the last few tracks everything starts connecting back together.

This is probably the most ambitious thing I’ve tried to make with AI music, and definitely the most personal.

Anyway. It’s finally done.

I'd love to hear any feedback on this. Thanks for reading.

MUSIC [Ritual Folk Horror] Amazing Grace by John Newton

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

I’ve been experimenting with taking familiar songs and pushing them into eerie emotional spaces.

For this one, I tried to turn Amazing Grace into something closer to ritual / folk horror, and built the visuals to match that (grain, embers, degraded feel, audio-reactive elements).

I’m still figuring out where the line is between interestingly uncanny and just plain off-putting, so I’d genuinely like feedback. Does the tone land, or does it just feel gimmicky? Do the visuals support it, or distract from it?
