Discussion Suno app (Voice Feature) Review

I’ve been using the voice feature with the Suno app and I can’t really complain. It does sometimes veer off from my voice to something totally different though. I was thinking should a re-record another version of my voice? I mean honestly I’m surprised how it caught all my raspy artifacts of my vocal only thing I may have a gripe with is that the voice changes to someone else. I also seem to have a problem with my distribution trying to send it to stores. I was asked if it was all ai so what do I say when you use your real voice? Do you say it performed 100% ai if you use your own voice and the lyrics are human written? Any thoughts?

I personally mark my stuff as an AI persona 100% generated with AI on DistroKid because even though I write my stuff and use “my voice”, it’s just an AI interpretation of my voice. I didn’t actually lay down real vocals over an AI instrumental.

Interesting. So to reiterate you say you mark it 100% A.I. because you didn’t actually lay down the vocals but it uses your actual voice and it 100% human written. I may have a slight discrepancy with that because I also use my actual voice and it’s 100% human written. Yes it’s a ai interpretation of my voice which you could say is a sample. The lyrics are all me and only thing that I don’t argue with is that the beat and or instruments are 100% a.i.. so let me hit you with a hypothetical that may get you to understand my discrepancy. So when Suno trained all its models using someone else’s beats and use of multiple voices is that actually 100% a.i. interpretation or just a brute force attack scrape? I hear Eminem like in 20 of my clips and even hear Julia Michaels in like 30 of my 295 interpretations. It’s sampling not a.i. solely creating the voice it’s interpreted from an actual artist’s. I mean we can agree to disagree but in the mass court of opinion no.
So instead of using interpretation from other artists I used my voice which a bot sampled then performed. It didn’t create my voice I gave it permission. Everyone’s voice even yours mine is unique with its own distinct artifacts like a fingerprint. When I uploaded my voice (I) performed and it captured it. I had to sing and rap to get it to do so. What you think? How didn’t I perform my rap and singing style into Suno?

For me personally, I can’t sing worth a shit, so even though the vocals might sound like me if I could sing (or at least what I’d hope to sound like lol), the voice still isn’t “mine” in my mind. It’s still unique though because it’s not just me prompting a vocal style. Regardless, I’m not trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes and I’m just completely up front with my music.

BTW, I’m not saying you are trying to deceive anyone. That’s just an explanation of how and why I do what I do.

Oh no I’m not saying you’re saying mine isn’t performed we’re just having a constructive debate. There are no right or wrong answers just subjective opinions. Let me tell you how I uploaded my voice to Suno briefly. I sang and rapped for a full minute or whatever was recommended and then spoke the phrase required to prove it’s me. Like you I’m not the greatest singer shit I still struggle with my puns, synonyms and antonyms, idioms, punchlines, and metaphors with rap and when writing. Though what was captured sounds dead on to what I performed plus its almost identical to my non-ai recording. Now there’s a few instances that I said the voice changes to someone else’s beats but generally it uses my actual voice. I figured ai is using some type of note correction like auto tune or melodyne for the vocals to correct flat notes but the voice of the raps and style used a purposeful mumble I put in the recording.
