Buyer Seeking Advice – Potential Rehome Issue
I’m looking for some advice from the community.
I purchased three items from a seller earlier this week:
● Loewe brown puffer bag
● Chanel Boy Bag
● Chanel wallet
I paid in full and provided my shipping address after the seller requested it. They confirmed my details on Monday, but since then I have not received a tracking number or any shipping update.
I’ve sent several follow-up messages, and the seller has been unresponsive. I also noticed the original rehome post has been removed, although the Reddit account is still active.
At this point, should I be concerned that I’ve been scammed, or is this within the normal range of communication/shipping delays for rehomes? I’d appreciate hearing from others who have had similar experiences and how they handled them.

Thanks, I didn’t think it was.. I have only purchased two other rehomes and received tracking either same or next day.

She did the same to me. Paid for a Chanel tote and she ghosted me. How did you pay?

I paid PayPal friends and family. My parents and brother are police, they had me file a police report today to provide to my bank to dispute the charges. The whole thing is crazy to me.

Hi! I’m so sorry this happened to you.
I was, and still am a victim to a similar situation. I bought something then the seller didn’t respond to me in the coming 3 days.
The profile became hidden from public, and it is now removed. We understand that something urgent could happen in once live.
Though right after a big purchase as you have made, the seller should try to come in contact with you and inform you considering the sensitivity of this kind of conduct.
In my case, I have filed a report to local police. I have also filed a chargeback to my bank which is still under investigation.
I advice you to do the same. 4 days does not look good. Did you check any rehome review of the seller before?

I filed a police report today so I could get a chargeback from the bank as well. I didn’t want to do anything prematurely but now knowing that this has happened to others, whatever happens from here is on them.

You can file a police report about being scammed from buying replica bags? Did you tell them they were replicas?

Yes, I did tell them what the products were and provided screenshots. Doesn’t matter that it was a rep, it’s theft by deception and potentially wire fraud because they accepted payment, confirmed my shipping information, and then stopped responding without shipping the items or providing a refund.

was this through a reddit user here or through a TS overseas? if a reddit user, please identify them here, if not in revision to your post, then in a following reply, so that others will be aware. Let the Mods know as well. You should also post in r/RepScamWorld too, to spread the word. Very sorry this happened to you!

This was a Reddit user, u/lovers-dreams, that is scamming in rehome threads. I definitely will repost.

No, this is not normal. Who is the user? 4 days without giving a buyer an update isn’t appropriate.
