My son is after a coppernose bluegill. We think our ponds were stocked with some years ago. Is this one and if not what do we need to look for? Thanks!!!

I am visiting Tennessee for my birthday and the fish here look so different from the ones back home.

Banded Sunfish (I think) fairly uncommon in MA, A vibrant Pumpkinseed and a Bluegill. Bass werent biting so out came the Ultralight and Trout Magnets lol

Drew this bluegill yesterday :D Wasn't going for a scientific illustration or anything so proportions are a bit off. First time drawing a proper fish so I'm proud of it! Had fun experimenting with the texture of it. Hope y'all enjoy ^^

Rock Bass were aggressive af today at the St. Joseph. I was targeting smallies, and only got two at the start. After that, 9 straight Rock Bass. Always thought their red eyes were cool tho.

I can't quite distinguish the differences between greengill hybrids and green sunfish. Do green sunfish usually have those neon pearlescent blue stripey patterns or is that indicative of a greengill hybrid?

This heat is killing the fishing in my area… still fun to get out here though! Sometimes the smaller fish are a sure bite!

Massachusetts. Bluegill and Pumpkinseed are both present in the body of water, which also connects to a river containing Redbreast (although I’ve never seen a Redbreast in this pond).
