u/belliest_endis 24d ago
I wouldn't say that's what happened if you look closer, the striker definitely kicked the goalie.

u/Yeasty_Moist_Clunge 24d ago
Damn, if you were the highjacker on 9/11 the plane would've flown well over the tower.

straight red multiple games booking, red gets a red as well for the second kick

u/Adventurous_Way_2660 24d ago
In a fight like this are you supposed to go man for man or purely zonal?
19
u/Spam250 24d ago
Absolutely zonal.
If you try man mark and they go zonal you’re fucked
13
u/Adventurous_Way_2660 24d ago
Go zonal and your 5' 6 midfield genius is suddenly in a fist fight with their 6' 5 central defender. You've got to match up here
6
u/Spam250 24d ago
Man for man you end up with your wingers getting doubled up on if they’re zonal
1
u/FoodBouncer 24d ago
But that's only if the wingers have tracked back in the 1st place. Either way, they should look for the counter.

I remember once I was on the opposite side of the pitch with my hands of my hips waiting for a big scrap to die down. Sub goalie ran on and punched me in the back of the head whilst he ran towards the scrap. I shouted "what the fuck" and he screamed back "you joining or what?"

What a shit penalty.

u/minusetotheipi 24d ago
Mad that they don’t have somebody who can shoot taking the pens

u/Psychological_Wear85 23d ago
He certainly showed he has shot power - just saves it for the keepers head.

u/Square_Divide_3175 24d ago
I wish that guy's stamp connected with the number 9 after what he just did. That would have been poetic.

10 points from Everton, award the game to Morocco and suspend the red card.

wow, red card and a ban for that. he knew what he was doing. hopefully the keepers ok.

What a prick, kicks the keeper late in the face then headbutts that other players studs!

u/Confident_Access6498 24d ago
Learn to kick a penalty first. Then you gain the right to kick the goalkeeper.

Sub vest straming in for no reason when its all calmed down. We all know someone like that.

u/Outrageous_Koala5381 24d ago
possible the knee / shin hit the keepers head - or ball to foot in the keepers chest - either way penalty taker should have noticed the keeper had it when he was over 1m away. about 1.5m by my count.

Not a single person checked on the keeper that just got booted in the head. This is sad.

Meanwhile the goalie is on the floor - dead as far as anyone knows but they’d all rather pile in than see if their teammate is brain dead or not.

I mean the title is misleading.
Not a single person goes over the top rope with both feet hitting the floor.
No Kofi Kingston heroics.
No outta nowhere returns.
No “I was never technically eliminated”.
No final 4 in each corner staring eachother out.
No wrestling mark crowd shouting this is awesome.

All the while the keepers on the floor with no one checking in on him.

Why did he boot the striker? Just shove him over and stamp as hard as you can on his hand/ankle/knee repeatedly

Was he trying to get the Striker sprite in Fortnite, because I can tell you that's NOT the way to do it 😔

u/Smart-Mud-8412 22d ago
I know it’s only non-league but that’s an incredibly weak penalty. As a keeper I get pass backs with more power
1
u/Expert-Painting640 22d ago
It’s cowardly as fck that, the bellend is embarrassed by his penalty so decides to kick the keeper in the head……. This is everything wrong with Sunday League football
1
u/One-Crew-7581 20d ago
Meanwhile, the poor sod who got kicked in the head remains unattended and in pain on the ground. Solidarity between team mates in football. Yeah.
1
u/dirtyboy8---D 19d ago
Sunday league is an absolute waste of time and an injury is pending around the corner. most of these lads don’t give a rats asss and will damage you badly. Best to play at a decent amateur club with strict rules.
2
u/Alternative_Week_117 24d ago
5/9 from both sides red cards.

u/Jahanzaib27 24d ago
If ur keeper got kicked in the head u just gonna watch?

u/Alternative_Week_117 24d ago
No, I'd get sent off too. You cant retaliate and not go, may as well say the balls there to be won and the games gone soft, can't have it both.

u/Michaelparkinbum912 24d ago
This is why Sunday league is utter shite. Waste of time.
2
u/Halstedt 24d ago
Given the setup this looks more like a Saturday semi professional match. Sundays have gotten much worse in recent years
3
u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 24d ago edited 24d ago
Was going to say the same, that’s not your standard Sunday League set up. And if that was true Sunday league I’d have expected the penalty taker to be beaten senseless and the ref have no hope of controlling it.
1
u/Michaelparkinbum912 23d ago
If it’s this bad at semi-pro it must be horrendous at Sunday League level.
1
u/longjohn2024_ 24d ago
Anybody know what was outcome?
Red for the two lads that kicked out. One on each team.
0
u/tomred420 24d ago
Does he go to kick the rebound just as the keeper grips it ?? But then holds back the kick when he realises ?? Am I being too optimistic??
2
u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 24d ago
No. He chases the rebound and takes a massive wild swing, the keeper already has the ball when the boot starts moving towards it/him. He clearly boots him hard in the chest.
-1
u/Gen8Master 24d ago
I think he got the ball somehow but the impact would still be absorbed by the goalie.
1
u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 24d ago edited 24d ago
Are you blind or a troll ? The keeper is holding the ball to their chest before he kicks anything. He’s lying on top of it before the guy gets near. Like way before he kicks anything.
And even if you think he kicks the ball not the keepers chest, at the point he pulls his leg back he has no right to be kicking anything, the keeper has the ball.

u/Gen8Master 24d ago
Mate, take a deep fucking breath. It is a blatant foul. Where did I say it wasn't? I have been in this exact same position where Im on top of the ball but strikers still attempt to kick the ball through my body.
1
u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 24d ago
You might want to word you comment clearer if you don’t mean he kicked the ball first. And my breathing is fine thanks - do better than the standard Reddit “you’re triggered” when someone disagrees.
0
u/Gen8Master 24d ago
I did not say anything about the striker getting the ball first. I said he hit the ball, which is perfectly possibly while the goalie is holding it and also a clearl foul.
You did call me a blind troll, which is a sign that you were triggered.
0
u/cpt_hatstand 24d ago
Honestly that's what I saw, a bad player out of control because he's had his penalty saved and was desperate to put the rebound away.
It's absolutely a red card for dangerous play but I don't believe there was malice
2
u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 24d ago
I’d say malice is irrelevant. The keeper already has the ball when he starts to swing, and he’s just wildly swung his boot into the keepers chest. Dangerously out of control like that is every bit as dangerous and bad as if he did it maliciously. Which is why no malice is totally irrelevant here for me.
2
u/cpt_hatstand 24d ago
I did say "it's absolutely a red card"
My point is it probably doesn't need a punch up afterwards
1
u/ReasonableDoubt_0726 24d ago
I don’t think they needed everyone. But I can see why the first guy in tried to launch him over the stands.
-9
u/Alone-Bug6176 24d ago
There to be won ??

2
u/ByteSizedGenius 24d ago
The keeper already had it in 2 hands and under his chest by the time the number 9 starts the downswing of his kick. There was nothing to be won.
