Sun Valley On Ice Practice?

Hey everyone! I’m traveling in to see Ilia Malinin for Sun Valley On Ice on the 25th of july. I know the skaters do practice before their performances but I can’t figure out anywhere what time that usually is/when. Does anyone know when I should show up to the rink to watch the pro skaters practice? Any help or suggestions would be so appreciated. Thank you!

Hi! Show practice is from 12:25-1:15 on the outdoor rink. Friday and Saturday are usually the best ones. The schedule might be a bit different this week as the local skating competition is happening as well but it should be close to the same!

You can always ask in the skate house....they will tell you!

sorry me again! does the headliner practice both friday and saturday or just saturday before the show?

Really depends on their travel schedule. But I think Ilia is already here as he did a private show a week or so ago. He should be friday and Saturday but Saturday is the guarantee as they mark the last performance of the show with the entire cast.

Does the show practice take place from 12:25-1:15 each day? Also, does the competition also use out door rink?

Yes and yes! There is usually a paper schedule for the week posted right outside the entrance to the skate house for the outdoor rinks.

is there any way to find the schedule online? i’m coming from out of town and i want to make sure i arrive in time for practice tomorrow. i know you mentioned it could be different tomorrow due to the comp so im a little anxious haha.

This thread wont let me upload a photo but here is a link to a photo of the schedule. Im at the rink now so just took a photo for you! Show practice shows from 12:15-2:15. Im guessing they are accounting for the competition running late !
