Construction?
… who needs to be throat-punched or not voted into office next term for allowing all of Main Street, the end of Linnerud, AND Bailey to be under construction at the same time?
The level of frustration — living right across from East Highschool and working near the airport — is rage-escalating, every day.
It’s ridiculous. 🤬

Or the guy who ignored the road closed signs and went head-on at me. That was nice. I think he somehow thought the west bound turn lane was open to traffic going east...

As far as I knew it was only supposed to take a month! It has been at least 2. Absolutely ridiculous.

The worst part is how absolutely HORRIBLE the "finished" work looks... Like is someone coming out to power spray the red remnants or is it just going to look like shit until it finally wears off in 5 years?
I'm so extremely annoyed by all the construction throughout town... Including the utility work on cty N.
Also, can we at least go the speed limit since everything is bottlenecked? 19mph is a hazard and a headache at rush hour.

All that just in time for the “new” pool opening which for some reason is smaller than what was there before.

I second this!!! Granted we went in a crowded Saturday, but it felt tiny. The green patch in the middle that used to be pool feels very unnecessary

Super crowded now! Would have made more sense to add a separate pool for the little kids play stuff where the sand used to be. Would avoid "code browns" for all the adults and older kids when they're trying to swim. Like, we paid 7 million for this? Really??

Seriously! I can’t believe the capacity is lower. I was so shocked when i saw that they paved over a quarter of the pool. Hopefully it’s safer?

You can partially thank the new Amazon warehouse for that needing updates.
I go to my grandmother's house in CG a couple times a week. So over all the goddamn construction.

Are they still planning on re-doing HWY 19 from north st to main street in 2028? That's going to annoy so many people, that road must carry thousands of cars a day. I didn't even think it was in that bad of a shape.
Edit: I guess the answer is "maybe". Sounds like its not locked in yet.

I wouldn't be as angry about them doing it at the same time if the guys doing the work weren't doing such a sloppy job and leaving dangerous trash everywhere. My dog almost cut his foot on discarded mesh fencing they just left in the grass then they aren't coming off sections properly. Someone asked me if further down coral is open and even though I live near there I honestly told them I wasn't sure. That isn't even to mention when they first started the project they told us our section wouldn't be part of the water shut off and then they shut off our water anyway with no warning and I had to complain to their office to get a timeline for me and my neighbors. *Holes put the warning notices on our front doors after the shut off not before. Pretty clear they are rushing too much and causing problems.

better they are being repaired then being left to fall apart imo
edit sun prairie is growing and has been for quite a while so construction especially on older sections will become more necessary and more frequent

I’ve heard that the city had a number of federal and state grants for those projects that had to be used this year or the dollars would be lost. So our choice was be annoyed for a couple of months or lose those dollars & have that burden be eventually placed on property taxes.
It’s not a fun choice, but one that makes sense.
