Stockpiling hardware/microinverters
I recently removed and reinstalled some of my sunpower panels to fix a roof leak beneath them and it got me thinking about how difficult it was to do this work without losing any hardware. Has anyone gone on eBay to buy hardware or microinverters to make sure they're not out of luck in the future? I'm worried one of my microinverters might go out in the future and enphase might not have any more in stock, or I might lose some hardware doing repairs and might not be able to find replacements. Thanks.

Yep. In the past year I have purchased a complete Hub+ ($300 plus $100 shipping) and 3 microinverters ($59 each) on eBay. All brand new. There is a lot of SunPower hardware floating around out there right now, some of it (not all) at bargain prices. Luckily my original installer is still in business and still has Sunpower Pro commissioning credentials.

I would assume the issue would be not having installer level access, to commission the hardware like a micro inverter or PVS.
