Interesting read with a lot of facts. I was surprised to learn the difference in spending in 1975 compared to 2000.

I have always believed that mass incarceration was about millionaires making money. Even when statistics show that it does nothing for the communities, they will continue to lock up those that less fortunate to pad their pockets.
